Pet care experience
All my live I have grown up with dogs of all sizes. I love playing, going for walks, or just chilling on the couch if needed. I grew up with bigger dogs, but my most recent pets have been two tiny animals, so I am used to dogs of all sizes. Ever since high school, I have watched over animals by walking them, going to the dog park, and most recently, house-sitting while taking care of friends’ animals.

Took great care of our dog!
Claire was great! She watched two of our dogs - one very energetic and one very standoffish - for a week and took great care of them and communicated well with us while we were out of the country!
Claire did a great job staying with my dog, Pippa, for several nights. She was communicative, friendly, and she took great care of Pippa!
This is my second time using Claire and it is always a pleasure! My animals love seeing her and she’s great at staying in communication with me while I’m Gone. Will book Claire again!

I have watched over dogs that have a variety of routines. I am comfortable crating, enclosing in certain rooms, or leaving them to watch the house themselves. I am also comfortable transporting dogs in my car if there is a nearby park they like to frequent, or I can take them on walks if that is part of their routine. I am diligent about making sure they are fed as close to schedule as possible, and I allow for frequent potty breaks before bedtime to ensure a smooth night.

Please let me know if your dog requires any special care and I will be happy to oblige! I additionally, if your dog is typically anxious around new people or has a special routine before feeding, bedtime, etc, I would be more than happy to keep that routine going under my care.
A typical day
I grew up with highly energetic dogs, so I love playtime. I also like trying out tricks or commands the pups may know, even attempting some new ones! I am familiar with Shelby Park, but am always open to exploring new walk routes or dog parks!

Availability
I work full-time at a nonprofit in downtown Nashville, and my hours are typically 8-4:30. I make sure that the pets I watch are fully fed and ready to be left for the day, and I make a point of leaving on time to make sure I get back to them in a timely manner. Depending on location, I also have an hour for lunch during which I can run back and have some playtime if needed.
