I work part-time from home, which gives me the flexibility to provide attentive, reliable care during the week. I’m currently available Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for walks, drop-in visits, and pet care. Because I work remotely, I’m responsive and can provide updates, photos, and consistent communication so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands.

Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I live in a dog-friendly apartment community with an on-site dog park, and I’m less than a mile from Lady Bird Lake, where I walk or run almost every day. If your dog enjoys being active, I’d love to include them on walks (based on your preferences and their energy level). I carefully follow each pet’s routine, keep a close eye on them during outings, and always treat every home and pet with the same care and respect I would my own.

No breed preferences, but I would like to know general behavior when encountering other dogs/people on walks, or any bad habits (eating shoes, tearing through laundry, etc.).
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I tailor the day to their personality, energy level, and routine. Whether your dog enjoys a leisurely walk or a more active adventure, we’ll spend plenty of time outside exploring the neighborhood, visiting the dog park, or walking along the trails near Lady Bird Lake. We’ll also enjoy playtime, water breaks, treats (if approved), and lots of affection. Between activities, I’ll make sure your pet has time to rest, relax, and feel comfortable. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your day knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.

I’ve been caring for dogs of all sizes for 20+ years through friends, family, and neighbors, and I genuinely love spending time with animals. All of my former family dogs have been trained to walk off leash, and have been incredibly well behaved. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, administering basic medications, or simply keeping pets company, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and understand how important consistency is for a pet’s routine. I’m also active, so I’m happy to provide long walks, play sessions, and plenty of exercise. My goal is to give you peace of mind while making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away.

Claire took great care of our Bassett Hound Saki. She sent us regular updates with pictures. She took Saki on walks, gave her meals and also house sat with us being away for the weekend. We would be happy to have her sit Saki again.
My dogs are crazy about Claire and they feel the same way. She has taken care of them while I have been out of town for weekends and a week at a time. She not only walks them, but will brush their teeth and brush them. Finally, she has taken them for walks in my neighborhood and she has my approval to take them to the beach, which they have often visited. Grant W.
I can't think of anyone more excited about being with our very dear canine friends than Claire! She's sensitive to their needs, always positive with any discipline (we know they sometimes need it!), and energetic in encouraging play, in- and outdoors. She enthusiastically helped raise several (4!) of her family's dogs. And hugs? she is very generous:) I have entrusted my precious Westie with her while out of town over many years. Claire's the best!
