Availability
My schedule is currently very flexible, which allows me to dedicate a lot of time and attention to the pets in my care. I am available throughout the week for walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and boarding for compatible pets. Because I have a flexible schedule, pets in my care are not left alone for long periods and can receive frequent supervision, bathroom breaks, exercise, affection, and attention throughout the day.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety and comfort are extremely important to me. In my home, pets are treated like family and are always supervised carefully. I have two friendly, well-socialized dogs who enjoy meeting new friends. While my yard is not traditionally fenced, my dogs are safely trained with a secure invisible fence system and are always supervised outdoors. I also believe regular leash walks are important for dogs’ wellbeing and enrichment. My home can be separated into different areas if needed to help pets feel comfortable and safe depending on their personalities and how they interact with other animals. For larger dogs, cats, or pets who are most comfortable in their own environment, I am also happy to provide care in the client’s home.

Information Claire D. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for your pet, I would love to know about their personality, routines, energy level, medical needs, feeding schedule, behavioural quirks, fears, triggers, and how they interact with other animals and people. The more information you can provide, the better I can make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and happy while in my care.
A typical day
A typical day with me includes regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, enrichment, feeding according to your pet’s schedule, supervision, affection, and lots of attention. I enjoy spending time interacting with pets and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while their owners are away. I try to keep pets on routines similar to what they are used to at home to help reduce stress and keep them comfortable.

Pet Care by Claire
Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Claire, and I’ve been caring for animals for many years. I am the primary caregiver for my two mini cockapoos, Izzie and Piper, whom I’ve raised since 2017. I’ve been responsible for their potty training, behavioural training, daily exercise, feeding schedules, enrichment, grooming routines, and veterinary care. I also have experience helping rescue and rehome cats, including two cats prior to adopting my current rescue cat, Peep, from a shelter in April. Caring for both dogs and cats has given me experience with many different personalities, temperaments, and comfort levels, including shy or anxious pets adjusting to new environments. I genuinely enjoy caring for animals and understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, patient, and attentive to care for your pets as if they were family.

Reviews
Claire is one of the most naturally compassionate and attentive people I know, especially when it comes to animals. She has a genuine love for pets and an intuitive sense of what they need to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Whether it’s making sure routines are followed, noticing subtle changes in behaviour, or simply spending extra time giving affection, Claire consistently puts an animal’s wellbeing first. She is incredibly responsible and thoughtful, and she approaches pet care with both seriousness and warmth. Pets are not just “tasks” to her; they’re individuals she connects with and cares for deeply. Her calm, sensitive nature makes her especially good with animals who may be anxious or need a little extra patience. I would trust Claire without hesitation to care for any pet. Anyone who chooses her can feel confident their animal will be in kind, capable, and genuinely caring hands.
