Paw Promise Pet Care

Hi, I’m Claire and animals have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up surrounded by dogs, it felt natural to turn my love for animals into a career. I completed a Distinction-level Diploma in Animal Care at BCA College, where I studied Animal Biology, Welfare, Handling and Behaviour. From there, Paw Promise Pet Care was born. I’ve also completed training in Canine Care, Behaviour, Handling and Animal Law, along with Emergency First Aid for Dogs & Other Pets. These qualifications help me provide calm, confident care for every pet, whether they’re full of energy or a little nervous at first. I currently share life with two miniature dachshunds, Twix and Rolo, so I know first-hand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. That’s why I promise to treat your pet like one of my own, with love, patience, play and full attention to their individual needs and routine. Whether it’s walks, cuddles, feeding or special care, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, calm and cared for while you’re away. ✅ Diploma in Animal Care (Distinction) ✅ Qualified in Canine Care, Behaviour, Handling & Animal Law ✅ Trained in Canine First Aid ✅ DBS Checked (certificate available upon request) ✅ Experienced in Safeguarding & GDPR – your pet’s welfare and your privacy are top priorities ✅️Veterinary Receptionist With me, your pet isn’t just a booking — they’re family.

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

I don’t offer pet care in my own home, but I provide dog walking and pet sitting in the owner’s home, where pets feel most relaxed and comfortable in their familiar environment. When I’m walking dogs, I make sure the pace and route match their needs, whether that’s a slow, sniffy stroll full of enrichment or a more energetic adventure to burn off energy. I always prioritise safety, comfort, and fun on every walk. As a sitter in your home, I stick closely to your pet’s usual routine, feeding, playtime, toilet breaks, medication (if needed), and of course, plenty of cuddles and reassurance. My goal is to make each day feel as normal and stress-free as possible while you’re away. Every pet is unique, so I take time to understand their personality, preferences, and habits to provide care that feels familiar, loving, and tailored to them.

Doggy Day Care • Jun 17, 2022

Highly recommended, Claire went over and above what we expected. Rose had a great time and I would book again. Claire sent lots of photos throughout the day to keep us updated. First class service, and such a lovely person who has the welfare of the dog at the heart of what she does. Thank you so much

Also, making sure all the dogs needs are met. She is a very lovely person. Great at helping me work round my schedule! Would definitely recommend and would use her again and again!

I needed a dog sitter to look after my two dogs (Dachshunds) whilst going away for the weekend, After being sceptical and unsure with leaving my dogs with someone I decided to choose Claire as she has Dachshunds of her own and is experienced in Dachshunds care. I can safely say that Claire was amazing throughout, I was sent regular updates and pictures throughout the weekend. When I went to pick up my two dogs they were so comfortable they were reluctant to come home. Claire made the process so easy and I was more than comfortable leaving my dogs with her. I will definitely be using her again in the future.

Claire was fabulous with our 12 week old puppy! She was on time, very friendly and sent regular updates. It was our first time leaving him, so was great to know all was going well! Claire clearly knows what dogs need and was very caring and attentive. He was absolutely glued to her side when we returned and slept very peacefully and contently after a lovely evening with Claire. We will definitely be using Claire’s services in the future. Thank you!

Claire was lovely, and clearly adored my two girls. She’s a dachshund owner herself so that’s great . Muffin and Mabel were very relaxed with her

Claire was the perfect sitter! She was right on time & was super while we were out. Claire sent pictures throught the night & stayed later than agreed as trian connections caused us to be a little late. But most importantly the animals fell in love with her right away and were well looked after throughout the night.

Schedule

Pet care is a meaningful part of my daily routine. I work part-time as a veterinary receptionist and veterinary assistant, which gives me valuable hands-on experience with animals of all kinds and helps me provide calm, confident care to every pet I look after. As I work part-time, I can dedicate my mornings to caring for the dogs in my care, whether that’s drop-in visits, walks or just spending some quality time together. I always plan my schedule around my clients to make sure every pet gets the love, care, and consistency they deserve. Having two miniature dachshunds of my own, Twix and Rolo, pet care is already a huge part of my everyday life, so looking after your pets fits naturally into my routine. It’s not just a job to me; it’s something I genuinely enjoy and take pride in. I’m available weekday mornings and evenings, as well as all day on Saturdays and Sundays, so you can book care that fits perfectly around your schedule.

Before caring for any pet, it’s really important that I have all the key information. Please let me know about any health issues, dietary requirements, or allergies, along with your vet’s contact details in case of emergency. I’ll also ask about your pet’s routine, including feeding times, toilet breaks, favourite activities, and sleeping arrangements. Understanding their temperament helps me ensure they feel safe and comfortable, especially if they’re nervous, reactive or have specific triggers. If walks are required, I’ll ask about lead etiquette, preferred routes, how they respond to other dogs or people, and whether they need any special gear such as harnesses or muzzles. The more I know about your pet, the better I can provide care that feels familiar, comforting, and fun, just like you would yourself.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
