I live in a highly dog friendly house, with a yard in the back. My own dog gets 3 good walks a day, and I am happy to provide this same service to your animal! I am a responsible, year-round Steamboat gal who will treat your pet like one of my own.

If you dog has any special needs / behaviors, please let me know. Especially if we are doing an overnight stay, I want to make sure my own dog is safe beforehand. That being said, I have experience with **spicy** dogs and am happy to accommodate their needs if I can, please just let me know beforehand.
A typical day
I love to provide both physical and mental stimulation for your pup! We will check out all the neighborhood smells, play in the backyard, and go on hikes (I have access to a wonderful local trail system near my house!).

I have owned dogs my whole life (big and small, love em all!), and currently live in town with my senior rescue pup! I have experience with dogs with behavioral challenges and medical intricacies, and can commit to always treating your animal like one of my own. I love all the things Steamboat has to offer our animals— walks on the river, snowy hikes, time at the park, etc! I work from home, so I have somewhat flexible availability for drop-ins as well. If your pup gets along with others, I would happily host them at my house, or bring my pup to your place. I am happy to provide both pet sitting and house sitting references. About Me: I've lived in Steamboat since graduating college 4 years ago. Until this school year, I was an elementary school teacher. Now, I work for a local mental health nonprofit doing youth services. I love hiking, skiing, reading, cooking, and spending all the time I can with my own dog.

Claire is a true dog whisperer!! She will always go above and beyond for your furry friend. She’s my go-to to watch my Ralph, and was the first person to take care of him for a weekend just a few weeks after I adopted him, and she took it in stride, with his strange quirks and anxiety and all!!! I will always sing Claire’s praises, and so would her dog friends if they could talk! She’s one of the most trustworthy folks I know - and incredibly dependable. Using Claire as your dog sitter is a FANTASTIC move for both you and your pup!
