Availability
I currently work part-time with flexible, work-from-home hours, so I have plenty of availability to care for your pet. I’m happy to accommodate your schedule, but in general, I’m available for walks and drop-ins Monday-Friday from 8 AM - 7 PM and weekends from 12 PM - 5 PM. For sitting, I’m available any day of the week and can stay at your home (if desired) for most of the day to provide company and care. I’d love to make sure your pet gets the attention and routine they need!

I prioritize each pet’s safety and comfort by following their routine, respecting their space, and ensuring a stress-free environment. In a client’s home, I maintain a calm and familiar atmosphere, sticking to their pet’s feeding, walking, and play schedules. I’m attentive to signs of stress or discomfort and adjust accordingly. I also ensure doors, gates, and leashes are secure at all times to prevent any accidents.

Please tell me all about how your dog likes to meet people, how they react to other dogs on a leash, etc. Do they like to chase rabbits and squirrels, do they want to eat the mailman, or do bikes spook them? I want to be prepared for anything :) I only accept house trained dogs (with some exceptions for puppies) with no bite history. Please note that dishonesty is grounds for discontinued service.
A typical day
I love to go for a longer walk in the woods or your neighborhood for active dogs. Let me know what balance of sniffing vs. walking you prefer for your pet! I'm also always happy to play fetch or tug in your backyard or home, whatever games they like to play. Depending on the dog, basic obedience tricks or a scent game (hide and seek with a toy?) can be a super fun way to exercise and tire our their brains :)

*If you rebook with me, let’s talk about locking your rates 😊 *If your puppy is >10 months and fully house trained I can reduce the puppy rate *drop-ins and walk availability may change based on where I am based (15-20 minute driving radius) I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments, from chihuahuas to pits to large mutts, as well as cats. I'm a lifelong animal lover who grew up with several dogs, cats, and even goats. I also rode horses for a few years! I'd love to set up a time to chat and/or meet your pet to really get to know you & your pets' needs! I am comfortable administering oral medications to both cats and dogs.

Claire came for a first weekend visit with our two dogs and it went very well. She's very professional and personable and the dogs loved her. They were extremely well cared for and the house was in immaculate condition when we returned. It was very easy to communicate with her and get a quick response.
Claire was super amazing to be able to walk my dog last minute after I had to rush out of the house this morning to drop off at school and drive to work without being able to take care of my dog. She came promptly and took care of my dog, made sure she pooped, and sent a lot of cute photos. I would totally hire her again.
Claire was great! We were very grateful she was able to accommodate a last minute need for a dog sitter. Claire provided updates and photos which were much appreciated. She took great care of Ava and we will definitely request her services again
