I have been the primary caretaker for our family pug. I manage her vet visits, take her for walks or playtime (even swimming!) and bathe her at home. I have dog sat for my grandparents elderly english cream retriever and cat sat for 3 months for an old roommate. I am currently taking care of my brother’s leopard gecko. I took care of his previous elderly leopard gecko as well sadly she passed awhile back, she lived to be around 16! I have a lot of experience with a lot of animals. I absolutely love animals and would be honored to take care of yours!

Clay has taken care of my lizard for a long while and has been very diligent on keeping up with care for them. Very attentive to the their needs and is usually quick to let me know when there is an issue/something that needs to be addressed.
Klaymore loves and cherishes all sorts of animals. When entrusted with a pet he makes sure to do his research on how to properly care for them. He has experience with lizards so he has knowledge on the right equipment and environment for cold blooded creatures. He's even gotten over his fear of bugs to make sure his lizard can eat! Klaymore also has experience with dogs, specifically with pugs, which are known for having health concerns. He is dedicated to ensuring any animal under his care will be in safe hands.
Klaymore is very attentive towards his pug Sunny and his leopard gecko Jumbo's needs; he schedules time out of his day to provide for the two and ensures their needs are met on the daily. This includes walking Sunny everyday, feeding her a balanced diet whilst with a sensitive stomach, and keeping an eye on her for any daily vet visits as he's aware of the extra care needed for pugs in particular. Klaymore also makes sure to spend time to play with her outside and ensuring she remains active. Likewise, he ensures the space for both his pug and his lizard are safe and spacious, that the cage for Jumbo is clean every week and organising what specific food and materials to provide for his gecko in contrast to what he needs to provide for his pug, displaying his strong skills in attentiveness as well as flexibility in his ability to care for different animal species simultaneously.

Schedule
My schedule is open on Friday and the weekends for both day sitting and night/overnight sitting. During the week my schedule is very full but I am available for overnight sitting and sparse visits during the day.

Safety, trust & environment
I care for animals with a gentle hand. I feel positive reinforcement trumps negative reinforcement. My little pug has some trust issues from her original home, her and I work on trust building exercises like working of tricks, slight touching until she is comfortable and praise. Sometimes sternness is needed but only in small amounts. Trust is mutual.
Pets
A typical day
When a pet arrives at my home I will allow them to smell around the fenced area as I set up their supplies for their visit. This also gives them time to go potty after their car ride and get used to their surroundings. After this (also depending on the heat) we will go on a walk around the unfenced property (pet will be leashed). They will probably be on a walk with my own dog and doing things with her. After some outside time we will go inside for 2-3 hours while I work on my studies, then we will come outside for another potty break and some play time. The visit will have periods where the animals are inside for a couple hours then paired with outside play. Inside time is for napping, chewing on chewbones or interacting with enrichment toys (treat/ball hiding toys).
