I’ll care for your pets like my own
Almost always available to pet sit and walk, please read more for details! I have personal and professional experience pet sitting for dogs of all sizes as well as cats. Through working various jobs/ internships, I am good at following strict regimens for feeding, going outside, and any other responsibilities asked of me. My love for animals started when I was little - I grew up with one St. Bernard and one Labrador Retriever, learning how to interact with animals as a child. When my older sisters would pet sit, I would come along with them to help and see the animals (as a child, I mostly just wanted to go because they were so cute!). I also love visiting shelters to interact with the pets and give them well-deserved attention. I will not be available Memorial Day weekend.
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I prioritize observing an animal’s behavior with me and with its environment. I also try my best to form a connection with the animal so that taking care of it is less stressful for both parties. I would love to meet the owner and their pet prior to sitting, over call or in person, and enough in advance so that the sitter can have time to decide if another person is a better fit. If I believe caring for a specific pet is out of my expertise, then I will not accept a job as safety is my first priority.
Ratings and reviews
Claire has watched our three cats twice when we have been away for a week. I can depend on her to come daily, feed and water them, and clean out the litterbox. On our last engagement, I forgot to buy kitty litter before I left so I left some extra money and Claire went and got litter for us. Our pets are always well-cared for with her!

Schedule
I will be in the Connecticut area for a few months as I just graduated from college. I can almost always work around your pet’s schedule as long as there is notice a few days in advance!
