Safety, trust & environment

My goal is to spend lots of time outside with dogs. We have a fenced in yard, and live amongst miles of dirt farm roads, so we go for plenty of walks throughout the day. I also love taking dogs to new locations where they can experience new sights and smells—Teton Canyon, the Pass, etc. Inside the house, my dogs have learned to be pretty mellow, so I try to facilitate getting tired outside then resting inside. I’m happy to crate or separate dogs if needed/desired, but let them roam inside if that’s okay with everyone.

Information Claire B. would like to know about your pet

I’d love to know how the dog acts around people and dogs he/she doesn’t know, and especially around strangers. Similarly, I’d like to know how they do off leash and around other dogs.

A typical day

We can go anywhere! Walking, skiing, hiking, biking, and running are some of my favorite things to do with dogs around the valley. After that, I like to relax at home and get cozy with the dogs.

Pet care experience

I grew up with dogs and have had three of my own for several years. I take pride in giving my dogs the best life I can, which usually means that they come along with me wherever I go. We bike, hike, run, or ski most days, and the dogs always come along. My three dogs are great with others, and are used to having new dogs around, as I often foster for the local shelter and adoption center.

Claire was fantastic and we could not have asked for a better person to watch our Frankie. She was responsive and a great communicator, took great care of our house while we were on an overnight, and sent pictures and let us know how things went before she left. Oh, and she took wonderful care of our sweet girl and exercised her, too. Fantastic and we will look her up again when we need help. Side note: she's also a talented baker!

After a scheduling snafu I made a last minute booking with Claire to take care of my senior pup. She responded quickly to my request. She took awesome care of my dog, sending multiple pictures and filing a visit report. I would definitely use her again.
