Animal lover through and through!
I grew up in Newcastle with a border terrier called Dandy, who I miss dearly. Since then, I have had cats: Charlie, a ginger tom, Sherlock, a chocolate point Burmese, and Gizmo, a blue Burmese. I now have Teddy, another chocolate-point Burmese, and Nala, a Bengal- cross. I was actively involved with dog walking and looking after Clyde, a friend’s very warm, cuddly and friendly Labrador. I have since looked after a Shih Tzu called Bertie, and love is a little knowing face. Jello is such a sweet dog, whom I've looked after many times, and he loves his cuddles.

Safety, trust & environment
Caring for pets in your home will be down to following your daily routine, which your pets are used to. It is important to meet them first so that your pet can get used to me. I will let your pet come to me first, as it is important to give them space so they feel safe.

I can’t recommend Claire highly enough. She has looked after our quite complicated rescue dog, Jello, on numerous occasions, both overnight and in our home, and he absolutely adores her. Claire is caring, reliable, and completely trustworthy. She always takes the time to understand Jello’s needs and gives him lots of attention, affection, and exercise. As well as being an amazing dog sitter- Claire always treats our home with great respect and always leaves it spotless. She is organised, communicative, and dependable, which gives us complete peace of mind when we’re away. Any pet would be lucky to spend time with Claire, and I have no hesitation in recommending her as a safe, loving, and responsible pet caregiver

Schedule
I am a counsellor in private practice and also work at a secondary school. I am available during the week and at weekends. Some weeks during school holidays, I can stay in your home as I work remotely. During term time, I can travel to work and look after your pet if very local.
