A gentle friend to every cat!
I have been pet sitting for 10 years, and have two rescue cats of my own, Ruth and Otter! I began on Rover while I was getting my bachelor’s degree at Georgetown, and love it so much that I have continued to cat sit after graduating! In college, I volunteered with the adoptable cats at Lucky Dog Rescue, and I currently am a kitty foster parent. I am a cat lady to my core! I’m always timely, reliable, and I will go above and beyond to make sure your pet is taken care of. Being a pet parent myself, I know how important it is to have someone you trust take care of your pets. My two cats have very different personalities- one is outgoing and playful, while the other is more reserved. I feel my experience with Ruth and Otter equips me to care for cats with varying needs and personalities. Ruth has some special health needs that require extra attention, so I am no stranger to cats that may require extra care. I have experience giving insulin injections to cats, as well as administering oral medication and inhalers.

I’m extremely responsible, and having been on the other end of things, I know what it’s like to have a pet sitter. I’ll do everything I can to make you feel at ease knowing that your pet is well taken care of and loved! I’ve done many FaceTime calls with pet owners so that they can see their pet while they’re away! What’s important to me is that you feel comfortable leaving your cat(s) in my care😊 Typically, I’ll sit on the couch with treats and wait for your cat to approach me when they feel comfortable. I never want to make a cat feel uncomfortable, so if they need more time to warm up that is a-ok!

Claire did a great job watching our two kitties over a holiday weekend. She was responsive, communicative, professional, and took great photos! Our kitties clearly felt very comfortable with her right away. We'd ask her to watch over them again in a heart beat!

Schedule
I work a hybrid schedule throughout the week, so I am around to spend time with your kitty before/after work on my in-office days. I will tend to set up camp and work from home for a few hours if I’m watching your kitty on a work from home day!
- CatsClaire can host up to 1 drop-in per day
- Please let me know if you pet has any special needs, likes, rituals, etc so I can accommodate them to the best of my ability! If your kitty is an escape artist, please let me know! No information is too much 😊
