Pet care experience
One-Dog-At-A-Time
I offer grandma-style pet care with an attentive approach. I only host one dog at a time (or 2 from same family), so your pup stays in the main part of my home with me and part of the daily routine. I’ve been a lifelong dog person and spent years caring for three Vizslas at once, so I’m comfortable with high-energy dogs, seniors, and puppies. My sweet 14-year-old boxer mix passed away recently. I adopted a female rescue schnauzer/poodle who is about 7 months old (Sept. 2026). She loves having other dogs to be playing or hanging out with. I provide daily walks, potty breaks, play, cuddle time, and a calm bedtime routine. I’m part-time and selective, so every pet gets thoughtful, safe, one-on-one care. I also care for puppies and cats. I've been a client of Wieuca Vet for 30+ years.

Claire took excellent care of our dog while we had to leave town for work. Normally, the grandparents watch our doodle but they were not available. Claire made our first experience with Rover so easy. Throughout our trip we recorded daily updates and pictures which was great. 10/10 would recommend

Claire and her 2 (grown) kids watched Winnie when I went on vacation. They were all great with Winnie. Winnie is a puppy and they took such good care of her, understanding her needs as a puppy. They sent me daily update with pictures and movies and I was able to enjoy my vacation with no worries about Winnie. I will surely use her again when I need a god sitter. Winnie felt at home with her.
Claire took excellent care of our 10 yr old lab. She was very accommodating and also experienced with dogs. I would highly recommend her.
She is so sweet!. I went vacation for a week and she kept my dog and my mom’s dog. She updated me with pics and the things they did daily. She took them on walks, made sure they were fed and overall was very loving to them. She’s great at what she does 10/1000000. Thank you so much. I will be booking again.

Schedule
I am extremely flexible. I am a photographer so my schedule varies. I live in a family-oriented neighborhood near Marist High School. I am available at a short notice as well as allowing same day cancellations because life is not always predictable.

Safety, trust & environment
I will ask you not only about your pet's eating and sleeping and medicine requirements, but also to describe their personalities to me (shy, outgoing, playful, prefers to sleep, likes to observe first before getting to know me, favorite toys, what they pay attention to, etc. Their food and water will be refreshed and any litter or poop they make while I am there, picked up. If you have a small dog, I will want to know their "potty" habits inside on pee pads and outside. I will update you via photos of your pet.
Pets
A typical day
A typical day at my house will include lots of physical and mental exercise to keep your dog happy and engaged. I’ll play fetch, and spend time with them in my fenced backyard, giving them plenty of space to run and stretch their legs. Throughout the day, we’ll have several play sessions, along with time to relax and rest indoors or outside, depending on what your dog prefers. I also offer mentally stimulating activities with toys, and should you select leash training as a service, I will begin training your dog to walk well on a leash. Your dog will have plenty of potty breaks and personalized attention to make sure they feel comfortable and well-cared for while you're away.
