We have 3 very active female border collies so we know what it means to have to provide plenty of exercise and mental stimulation! My husband has had daschunds, spaniels, and mixed breeds and I have had Border Collies, huskies, labs, horses, cats, goats, chickens, ducks... We use crates and/or gates, as needed to keep the dogs in separate sleeping and eating areas. For walks, I provide a long leash unless/until dogs are comfortable here and I'm confident they have good recall. We are set back from the road and play mostly in the unfenced back field. We now have a half-acre fenced yard (4' fencing) as well. Off-leash time will be games like chuckit, soccer balls, etc... I am comfortable giving oral medications or injections. I can also bring your dog to vet and grooming appointments if needed.
