I always make sure the animals have access to clean, cool, fresh water. That is the most important task, that I will always check on first. Secondly, it is most important to ensure each animal has appropriate access to food in the quantity and quality needed for them to maintain a healthy life. I have experience with feline prescription food diets, and understand the importance to not deviate from their special food. Thirdly, it is important that animals have access to a clean and stress free potty area. As a cat mom myself, I am constantly cleaning the littler box area for my own fur children to ensure they have a tidy space to use the bathroom.

Information Cindy L. would like to know about your pet

I think it is important to know if your animal has any health concerns that I should be aware of. It is also important to know if you animal has been aggressive in the past to others.

A typical day

If I am watching a cat, my plan is to listen to the owner to understand what kinds of play their baby likes. It is important to keep the animals schedule, and expectations the same, to avoid stress. I will learn from the owner what their favorite play time activity is, and try my best to play in the same way. If I am with a dog, the plan does not deviate too much as if I were watching a cat. But, I would ensure that the fur friend has access to the outside, where they are allowed to run free and stretch their legs! Exercise releases natural endorphins, so it is very important that both cats and dogs experience enough play (through physical activity) to help reduce stress levels.

Pet care experience

I recently lost my senior cat, Tigger. He passed away in August 2025. Tigger was very sick. I spent multiple hours per day providing care. Tigger had a chronic digestive illness that required care from someone who had critical attention to detail. I administered his medications every 12 hours, cleaned him up after he used the litter-box, provided him emotional support, syringe fed him wet food during his final days, and more. I currently work in the healthcare field as a clinical pharmacist (for humans). I truly understand how important it is not only for humans to have their medications on time, but for animals to have their care on time as well. I dedicated an entire 10 months of my life to help Tigger live those 10 extra months. My timeliness, organizational skills, and attention to details allowed me to provide the best care for Tigger. I have been devastated since his passing. I currently still have 2 cats at home (Apollo + Moon). They're the sweetest boys and make my life very full. I lived with cats almost my entire life, and I know how important it is to keep their daily schedule the same.

Cindy is an awesome sitter who tolerated bad kitty behavior and found ways to deter it! Kitties were fed, boxes were cleaned, and those who wanted love were given attention. ❤️ Even our terrified little torbie came out of hiding to check her out! Highly recommend!

This past summer when I went back home for the week, Cindy took care of my kitty cat Henry. Henry is an anxious boy and very apprehensive about new people due to past trauma in the house before mine. Cindy was very patient and kind and earned the trust of my little guy. She spent many hours keeping him company in the stressful time while his mama was away. Henry even trusted Cindy enough to play his favorite game of fetch by the end of the week! Cindy was also a great cat sitter for me as the human because she sent me updates and pictures of my little guy which helped me know that he was happy and taken care of. Additionally, she made sure to tell me about Henry’s eating habits since i expressed concern that he wouldn’t eat while I was away. I’d highly recommend Cindy for anyone looking for a cat sitter!
