Calm walks, genuine connection

My approach is relationship-based, not management-based. I believe dogs thrive when they feel safe and can trust the person they’re with — that’s the foundation for everything. When I’m calm and present on a walk, your dog gets to just be a dog. I’m paying attention to them, their body language, and what they’re communicating, rather than constantly trying to control or manage their behaviour. That leaves room for genuine connection, curiosity, and enjoyment. I particularly enjoy spending time with social, easygoing dogs, as well as senior dogs who appreciate a calm, predictable routine. I’m comfortable caring for senior pets and adapting to their pace and needs. My focus is companionship, safety, and genuinely enjoying time together — getting to know your dog for who they are, and giving them a walk or visit where they can feel comfortable, relaxed, and cared for.

Our family has always owned multiple rescue dogs including those with high exercise requirements, serious medical requirements, and every variety of personality. All have thrived under Cindy's nurturing care and patient understanding of their unique temperaments. She is considered "one of the pack" and will always be the first person we think of to care for our pets.

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog spends the day in a calm, quiet environment with me and my own dog, Bucky — a big, gentle dog who loves other dogs. We hang out together, maybe romp in the yard or take a walk if your dog is good on leash, and mostly just enjoy quiet time while I go about my day. This works best for social, easygoing dogs who are cat-friendly and comfortable in a low-key space with another dog. It's companionship and safety while you're away — not structured activity, just peaceful presence together.

A typical day

We establish a consistent on-leash route that works for your dog. I keep the pace relaxed and let them stop to sniff as much as they want — that's where dogs get their real satisfaction. I chat with them during the walk, enjoy being outdoors together, and keep things calm and present. While I stick to a predictable route, I'm flexible if your dog wants to explore a different direction. Walks are 30 minutes to an hour depending on your dog's needs. Before we leave, we spend time with pets, belly rubs, and scratches — I genuinely enjoy loving your dog. My goal is a peaceful, predictable experience where your dog feels cared for and gets to just be a dog.

On-leash walks only — I keep all walks on-leash for safety, and establish consistent routes we both enjoy. My availability: Dog walks Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Daytime pet sitting at my home Tuesday and Thursday. Best fit: Social, easygoing dogs who are cat-friendly (for in-home sitting). I'm looking for calm companions, not high-energy or reactive dogs. Meet and greet required: I always meet your dog and you before booking to make sure we're a good fit. Weather: I walk in rain (unless it's storming or pouring), and winter walks are fine as long as windchill isn't extreme and there's no heavy snow. I'll let you know if weather conditions make a walk unsafe.
