Pet care experience

Licensed Vet Tech

I am currently a licensed RVT working at an animal emergency hospital. My skills vary from giving medication, distinguishing abnormal health, and bathing. I am available most of the time and when I am not home , I am gone for about 4-5 hours. My special skills would be having the ability of being able to administer oral medication and SQ fluids as well as injections and performing CPR. I have a dog of my own who gets walked three times a day. I enjoy house sitting because I believe the pet feels more comfortable and less nervous because they are in a comfortable and known environment. I would say my best days of being home full time would be Thursday-saturday. I love animals and enjoy caring for them

Cindy was so sweet and was able to watch Lucky on such a short moments notice. Lucky felt very comfortable and calm with her which put our mind at ease after leaving her. Thanks Cindy!!

We had Cindy watch our epileptic dog Maggie while we were at work. She gave us every sense of relief in knowing she would take great care of our baby. She gave her lots of scratches and cuddles, even a photo of Maggie belly up. When my wife came home she said Maggie looked so happy and calm, which means Cindy’s energy was a perfect match. Don’t hesitate to book Cindy, if we don’t beat you to it!

Cindy went above and beyond! Having a special needs kitty is tough, and our Jack was able to trust Cindy as she administered medicine twice daily including his insulin and oral medicine. She was also extremely communicative, and worked hard to give the best attention to our little guy she could. We loved the pics she sent of our Jack throughout our time away. It was tougher for us I think, to leave him for the first time since his diabetes diagnosis, than it was for Jack, who resumed his usual cuddles upon our return. Also, our apartment looked great when we returned too! Thank you so much Cindy!

My two cats require multiple different medications and SubQ fluids (one has kidney disease and one has thyroid disease) and they have never been in better hands. One of my cats is super shy and by the end of the weekend he was apparently following her around the house! I felt like my cats were disappointed when I walked through the door because they loved her so much! I wish I had found Cindy sooner because she provided me so much peace of mind knowing my children were being well-loved and well-looked after. She is one of the most positive people you and your pets will ever meet and her extensive experience with caring for medically fragile animals is simply icing on the cake!

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in an apartment
Does not have a yard
Non-smoking household
Has 1 dog
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 4-8 hours

Safety, trust & environment

I like to care for the pet at the best place I know they will feel the most comfortable. Most times I is at their own home but when it isn’t possible I make sure the pet doesn’t feel overwhelmed my constant interaction and as I monitor from a distance I slowly try to gain their trust so they may fee more comfortable and get belly rubs

Pets

A typical day

A nice long walk around the neighborhood can never go wrong. Also playing indoors with the pet and giving them lots of attention but also space to take naps and relax.

Cats
0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
No females in heat
Takes only 1 client at a time
Cindy can host up to 1 pet per night
I would like to know information like special needs or behavioral before I get to work with the pet. Knowing how the pets behavior is, is the most critical to me so I may approach the pet in the most appropriate manner. Also knowing special needs so I may care for the pet as best as I can and accommodate for any needs.
