I am retired with a flexible schedule. I do get out hiking, biking and cross-country skiing often so if you have a high energy dog I can definitely get them out for some exercise. Also enjoy just going on long walks.

Although I don’t have a yard (live in a townhouse) I am just a few blocks away from the riverfront off leash park and have lots of time for multiple walks throughout the day. Since I am not working out of the home, I will be able to spend time with your pet and not have to leave them unattended for long periods.

As I live in a townhouse complex I will not be able to accommodate overly vocal dogs. Dogs that are trained to have good recall would be preferable as I like to find places where the dogs can be off leash for a run or a game of fetch.
A typical day
I usually start the day with a quick off leash park visit as it is just a few blocks from home, then plan for a longer adventure later in the morning. Walks are typically 5 km minimum and depending on the size/energy of your dog could be a longer outing. I try to find lots of different places to explore. Hiking is one of my favorite activities so happy to have company! I find that most dogs enjoy a paddleboard outing as well?

I’ve owned/trained dogs most of my life. I am now retired but do not currently have any pets of my own - so would love to have some canine companions to join me on my walks and outdoor adventures. I am an avid outdoors enthusiast and get out as often as possible year round. I regularily pet sit for friends and family and volunteer at the local humane society. I guarantee that your pup will get lots of exercise, love and cuddles and will return to you happy and well cared for. I look forward to meeting some new furry companions😃.
