I currently teach during the day, but I am off holidays, weekends and summer. However, I have a son going to college at UT living with me. He is often home with the dogs or only out for shorter periods of time.

I have a fenced yard, but always go out with the dogs to ensure safety. In warmer weather, we play outside and we often just relax outside as well. (If raining, I watch at the window while they are out.) I try to follow your routines to keep them comfortable. If they are crated at home, I can crate them at my house. If free roaming at home, they can free roam here.

I like to set meet and greets prior to the first stay to get to know each dog and so the owners can ask questions as well. I ask that dogs are up to date on flea treatments, heartworm and shots. Due to the high volume of dog visits, I ask that your pet be bathed prior to a stay and dogs should be fully potty trained. I cannot take pit bull or mixes, mastiffs or Rottweilers. (Due to house insurance requirements.)
A typical day
I try to follow you dogs normal routines including walks- weather permitting. We have a small pond near the house that I like to walk to as well. I play with them inside and out. I have some toys, but please bring their favorite toys so we can play what they enjoy!

Hi! My name is Cindy! I have had some type of animal in my home my entire life. My dog Gracie was apart of our family for 13 years. I am a teacher at an environmental school who is caring, compassionate, reliable and has a love for animals. I am home full time most holidays and all summer. I would love to keep your dog safe, happy, entertained, healthy and well cared for while you are away. I have a nice fenced in yard and will walk and will play with your dog. I have a son in college that also lives with me. While you are on your vacation, your dog will be on theirs! The dogs I watch are treated like a part of our family.
