Ciera can care for
Availability
I have two cats currently (one of whom has claimed me as the sole source of pets), and I had a dog for around twelve years and walked her often. Before even that, when I was almost too young to remember, I had cats who were getting on in years. Nowadays, playing with my cats is a nightly task (as well as feeding them, of course), and I clip their claws monthly.

Safety, trust & environment
I believe that cats and dogs can communicate when they have a want or a need, even if they don't have those talking buttons. I listen closely to my cats, and did the same for my dog while she was with us. Even when I was younger, my parents were comfortable with trusting me with the care of our pets when they were away on trips, and this didn't change even when our dog was elderly and needed daily pills. I have also been chosen over other sitters in my neighborhood and have heard that my name is passed around when neighbors ask if someone could walk their dogs or housesit for their cats.
Information Ciera W. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know about any areas of difficulty in providing for your pet, and if there are any places on a walk that I should very much avoid! If I am walking your dog, please also let me know if they respond by pulling, barking, or lunging at other dogs, squirrels, people, etc. Lastly, let me know if your pet has any places they like or don't like to be pet, or any activities that they really don't like!
A typical day
I enjoy walking dogs and throwing frisbees, sticks, balls, whatever is provided! I also don't mind a good tug of war with a dog (so long as the toy is long enough), and I have used a laser pointer before to run my old dog around. Further, I have run around my house with yarn to get my cats to chase me - so I have experience making string very enticing to cats. I have some slow feeders and puzzle feeders for my cats at home, so I am skilled at both filling these and making puzzle feeders. (One of my cats vomits if the slow feeder is too full, so I am very used to making quite sure the slow feeder is filled correctly!)

Pet care experience
Over the course of my nine years of pet care, I have been both a sitter and a walker. I have cared for animals with special needs - most often anxious animals - and I have cared for elderly pets with special diets. I also know how to work a pill cutter! I have walked dogs both tiny and large - and even dogs who are strong and like to pull. I love throwing balls (as long as the dogs don't make me do the fetching!).

Reviews

Although Ciera didn’t have experience with taking care of bunnies, she did an amazing job at following directions and communicating if she was unsure about something in the care plan. My bunny is extremely shy and Ciera ended up being so kind and patient that my bunny was able to warm up to her! I will definitely rebook next time.

Ciera is absolutely wonderful! We’ve been working with her for about a month now. My dog absolutely enjoys his time with her. Her communication and commitment is stellar. I’d recommend her over and over!

Ciera has been so communicative, punctual and nice! My dog has enjoyed the time so far. We look forwarded to working with her in the future!!

We had Ciera do a daily check-in on our two cats, and we always appreciate how much she cares and knows our cats. We received some pictures, and got updates on how they were doing. We will definitely reach out for Ciera again for future trips!
