I am pretty flexible overall! I am lucky to have the ability to balance work, school, and life fairly easy despite still being involved in the community. I can pop in throughout the day several times if needed/wanted, and I can also dedicate time to a fun hike or park trip for a few hours for dogs needing a little more!

Safety, trust & environment
I treat every pet like I would my own, and that doesn't mean loving on them 24/7. I believe in respecting pets boundaries and reading their body language when meeting new people, but also day to day. My pets have a set routine and know what to expect, and I would uphold that to the best of my ability in sitting for anyone else.
Information Ciarra E. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your pet has any behavior issues or handling issues. Specifically if there is any medical handling issues (should medication need to be given) and if there are any handling issues with harnessing/walking.
A typical day
Mental stimulation is just as important as physical exercise, so we can go on a daily leisurely scent walk along with playtime at the park or a long hike. Followed by a snuffle or licky mat for mealtime enrichment. We can play catch or tug of war until one of us gets tired out, or switch it up and go to the river for a change of scenery.

Animal Care Specialist in RVA!
Pet care experience
*Insured through Pet Care Insurance as of 4/7/25. I started dog walking in late grade school, but didn't build my extensive knowledge of behavior training, modification, and animal welfare until 4 years ago. I have experience with training puppies and socialization, along with deaf/blind dogs, hospice care, stranger issues, resource guarding, and reactivity. I have built many strong bonds with dogs who have been deemed difficult by being patient and respecting their boundaries. As for cats, I love a spicy cat (have one of my own). I have no issues with overstimulation, handling, re-direction, or medicating any feline friends! I have experience with small animals and reptiles as well.
Reviews

Very communicative and took great care of my kitty!

I used Ciarra for the second time to sit for Cooper while I was out of town and everything went amazingly! And she leaves the house so clean and tidy!! She even left him some treats!!

Ciarra was very responsive, thoughtful, kind and responsible; she took great care of our crew and we would not hesitate to book her again!

Ciarra was communicative, punctual, and left the house clean, but there were a couple of issues during her stay. On day 1, she locked herself out and hired a locksmith without consulting me, causing damage to the lock. She didn't inform me until a week later and offered only $50 toward repairs, which didn’t cover the full cost. Additionally, on day 5 of my trip, I was contacted by Rover about an incident involving my dog, Cooper, but no details were provided. Ciarra later explained that Cooper had reacted to a truck and the leash caused a minor injury to her hand. I had informed her about Cooper's reactivity to such vehicles. Despite these issues, Ciarra cared for Cooper well and ensured his safety and comfort. I would consider using her again.
