I'm currently working exclusively caring for dogs at home, so I will be around for your pet's needs. Your boarding dog should be able to be left at my home alone or with other dogs for 3-4 hours some days. If your dog is just coming during the day for doggie day care, I will plan for them to be supervised the whole time. I list 2-4 hours for being let outside, but most of the time it's whenever they want (except at night...hopefully they can go 7 or 8 hrs). A daily/walk hike in the woods will definitely be a highlight of your dog's visit (unless they are too old and you'd prefer they stay home). I can also play fetch with them in the backyard if that is something they enjoy. My family will also love on your pet when they're around.

I have a fenced backyard and there will be at least one friendly dog (mine) to keep your fur baby company. It is a very pet-friendly home, and your dog can sleep on the couch or a dog bed when he/she is tired of playing. If your dog is used to sleeping in a crate or being crated when unsupervised (3-4 hours max), please bring your dog's crate because I don't have any. I always send daily pic updates portraying the backyard fun, woods walks and people/dog interactions your dog will enjoy!

If I watch your dog at my house, he/she should be generally friendly and get along with other dogs. They should be neutered/spayed and house trained. Please let me know if your dog is vaccinated, including Bordetella vaccine (for kennel cough - if not, it only takes a couple of days to develop immunity after vaccination for this one) and be prepared to share their vet records when requested. Please also let me know what your dog is like behavior-wise most of the time. My dog is a laid-back, low to moderate energy dog who loves to go for walks and play. He's a sweet protector and tends to love most dogs but especially female dogs, smaller dogs of either sex and does well with older dogs of either sex and more submissive males. He gets along with all sized dogs, but if your male dog is dominant or a high-energy, large, young male, that wouldn't be a good match for him. However, a higher energy large, young female would work. He does like his sleep and is older, so will not have the energy to play non stop. :) He feels the need to assert himself with bigger male dogs (especially young males and breeds such german shepherds), so if your dog needs to be top dog, they would clash, but a sweet, submissive not-too-young male (3+?) would most likely work. He knows when to leave older and not as social dogs alone. Your dog should not be aggressive with other dogs as I typically host up to 2 dogs a night (3 including mine and occasionally there are 4-5 dogs total...in that case I would already know most of them well). I always keep the dynamics of visiting dog personalties in mind . Also if your dog barks frequently (I mean incessantly...because occasional barking, alert barking, barking if people come over is fine), the neighbors and my family wouldn't be too pleased. :) Thanks!

I take my dog for a walk or hike on trails nearby for about an hour daily, sometimes longer depending on the dogs that are staying with me. I can take yours as well if he/she is good on a leash and if they can get into a vehicle without being lifted. If he or she isn't good on a leash/halter, he/she will need to stay behind when we walk (my back can sometimes act up with leash pullers unless they have a good halter or halti). If you are very confident they will stick close off-leash with someone other than you, that could also be a possibility. My whole family loves animals and will give your pet attention too when they are around. I can also play fetch in the backyard with your dog if that is something they enjoy.

Hi everyone, I'm an animal lover who currently exclusively cares for dogs in my home. I have a fenced backyard, am 5 minutes from interstate 93 and have a family that loves dogs. I take my own dog (12 yr old golden retriever mix) for different hikes/walks in the woods nearby around an hour every day (sometimes longer depending on the visiting dog/s); these walks are definitely a highlight for our doggy visitors. I will take yours too if he/she is good on a leash or possibly if he/she sticks very close by and responds well to commands off-leash and doesn't need assistance in and out of a vehicle. I have had dogs living in my home since I was born, and to me dogs are family. I understand how difficult it can be to trust someone you don't know with your "baby". Your fur baby's safety and welfare are my utmost concern! Hopefully my 100% positive reviews and the many photos I included which portray the love and comfort, backyard fun, and woods walks/hikes that your dog will enjoy when staying with me will help reassure you! My golden mix boy is still playful at 12 and will play with younger dogs intermittently but knows when to leave older dogs alone. He is older, so dogs who need to play constantly wouldn't be a good match for him. However, I often board dogs who like to play with each other. I usually only board up to two dogs besides mine at a time, so your dog will get plenty of human attention and also have a doggy companion or two. (Occasionally, board 3 or possibly 4 a night or two of overlap if it is a busy vacation week and mostly my regular dogs that I know well who along with other dogs well.) Five dogs at any time (including mine and any doggy daycare dog) is my max at busier times. Doggy dynamics are important to me. note: I do most of my business off-Rover and by word of mouth, so don't show as many reviews/repeat customers as some and Rover’s “star sitters” are those that Rover makes more money off of because they stay on the app and show more repeat customers through it.

Christy was wonderful, and my dog (Alice) absolutely adored her! Christy is communicative, friendly, and has an obvious love for the dogs in her care -- Alice will definitely be back!!
Christy T. cancelled a booking 4 days before it was scheduled to begin.
Christy was great! Very communicative, friendly, and most importantly - clearly a huge dog lover! Butter seemed to overcome MY anxiety and enjoyed her four night stay with Christy and her family! Christy sent numerous pictures and messages and was very flexible with drop off and pick up timing. Thank you Christy!

Loving caregiver in wonderful country home. Our pup got tons of attention and lots of activity! Christy is flexible, easy to deal with, professional and responsive. Location is quick jaunt off 93.
