I am a freelance writer with a flexible schedule. Currently, I prefer to walk dogs during the day or in the afternoon, but I could work with other times. I would be available to walk dogs or drop in Mondays through Fridays and some Saturdays. I’m willing to work with you!

I am very respectful of others’ homes and their rules for their pets. When pet sitting in the past, I have used a lock box to access a key and returned the key to the box upon leaving the home. I am also familiar with crate training and can follow instructions for how you’d like your dog to be greeted and let out. I am able to drop in to let your dog out to the bathroom, either in your fenced in yard or on a leash. I am also available for walks, taking dogs to the park, playing, or practicing training.

Pet care experience
I have always loved dogs. In 2021, I adopted a German shepherd and joined a training group. Practicing and training with my own dog every day led to me developing a passion for walking and working with dogs. Since then, I have walked many dogs, including structured walks where we practice heel, sit, place, and other basic commands. I also have experience assisting my trainer with client lessons and dog sat overnight for a home with multiple dogs. I have experience with large dogs, and could also help them to practice walking nicely on a leash. I have worked with and walked small, medium, and large dogs, and even a very large dog. I truly care that dogs get enough mental and physical stimulation so that they can live their happiest lives. Even in rainy weather, I enjoy taking out my dog. I’d love to help more dogs get more walks and sniffs in! I have also dropped in to care for friends’ cats and am comfortable providing cat care drop ins as well. I have a fresh water aquarium at home and could feed fish too!

Christy is a gem! My dog saw her coming and was so excited to see her because he knew he was about to get a great walk! From my six-year-old lazy St. Bernard to my one year-old newfi/St. Bernard mix who has enough energy for five puppies, she knows how to handle both of them. The puppy is in training and she’s very good at reinforcing what he’s learning. I am so glad I found her!
Christy is by far the best person I know when it comes to pets. From watching a traumatized German Shepherd become the most well trained and happy dog I know, to her extensive knowledge of fish, she cares deeply about the animals in her life and will handle your pets with the upmost care and love. I can't recommend her enough, her knowledge of animals mixed with empathy to understand them has allowed her to become an expert.
Christy is amazing with all dogs, big and small. I have 2 large dogs, a St Bernard, and a St. Bernard/Newfie mix. I was in need of someone to walk the newfie mix while i was on vacation as he is a 110 pound puppy, at 1 year old, with puppy energy and my mom just isn't able to walk him with all that puppy energy. Not only did Christy walk him every day for me, but she kept up with his training so he didn't lose any progress. I highly recommend her and will be using her again.
Christy first watched my four cats while I was away on vacation. She followed my instructions for care to the very last detail, provided photos of them and an update every few days. She took time to make sure they had enrichment and spent time with them beyond what I had requested. The second and third time she watched my animals, she provided the same excellent care as the first time. It is crystal clear that Christy takes care of other's pets the same she would her own, and I would recommend her services to anyone who is in need. Thank you Christy!!
