Pet care experience

Dog Dude

I've been a dog person my whole life. Got my first dog at 12, and my teenage household had 5 dogs (and 3 cats) at any given time. Labs, Aussies, German Shepherds, Yorkies, little fluffy dogs... I've seen it all. Then there was Stella. My stubborn, perfect, 70lb Boxer/Bullmastiff rescue who spent her first day in my apartment busting out of her crate and breaking into the fridge (yes, really...). I raised her for 12 years, from puppymill survivor to elderly girl who needed help walking in her final days. She taught me everything about patience, problem dogs, and loving them through it all. Now we just have Amelia, a 12 lb Cockapoo who's much easier, but still keeps me sharp on small-dog needs. I've learned that dogs tell you how they want to be loved. You just have to pay attention. I pick up on those signals and meet them where they are. I'll never force your dog into something they don't like, and I'm a little obsessive about keeping them safe. I'm taking a break from corporate life and filling my time doing what I actually love. Let me take some stress off your plate and give your pup the attention they deserve!

Christopher did an excellent job taking care of our pup and taking her on walks during the workday. We appreciate his help and would definitely book again!

Calendar and availability

Schedule

My schedule is wide open most days. I hit the gym and walk my own pup (Amelia) at some point, but otherwise I'm flexible for walks or drop-ins any time of day. Just give me a little notice and I can make it work. If I'm out of town, my calendar will reflect that.

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

I take your lead on how to best care for your dog in their own home. You know them best. That said, I'm good at finding solid walking routes and can handle dogs of any size on a leash. Give me as much info as possible about their preferences and routines so they stay comfortable. For 30-minute walks, I usually walk for about 20-25 minutes, then spend the last 5-10 getting them settled back in before I leave. I don't like to just drop them off and run.
