Gentle and personal care in my own home
Hi, I've cared for both cats and dogs from as long as I can remember, as my parents always had at least one cat in the household. I had my own dog as soon as I left home at 20, and have had and loved numerous dogs ever since. After moving house last year I have been used as the family 'dog sitter' by my 2 daughters, and as I have now taken early retirement I have decided to use my time more productively by offering my services as a dog sitter and walker. Your dog will be cared for in my house, which has a rear fenced garden area, and Whitaker Park is directly across the road from me, where there is a lot of space to take dogs for walks. If you wanted your dog to take a longer walk then I'm very happy to do that, as I enjoy walking in the beautiful Rossendale countryside as a way of keeping fit and well. I also have full liability insurance cover for your peace of mind.

Christopher was amazing with Alfie treated him like one of the family Sent updates via WhatsApp with videos and pictures of Alfies days whilst he was looking after him. Will be using Christopher again when needed. Thank you Christopher for taking so much care of Alfie.

Chris was absolutely brilliant for our little dog Maggie whilst we were away on holiday, providing her with one on one care and always keeping us updated with photos and videos which was reassuring. Chris has lots of experience with dogs and has a great home and garden which Maggie really enjoyed! Will definitely be using Chris again, he is brilliant!
Fantastic. My dog is a little needy and staying with Chris was just perfect for him, especially as Chris doesn’t have any other pets. My dog is well socialised and regularly goes to dog daycare however he loves one on one attention. We actually think he was reluctant to leave! Chris has a great set up at home with loads of private outdoor space and even more park and lovely walks right on his doorstep. As my dog doesn’t always want huge walks, just a potter. He kept me well informed of Ted’s stay with photos and messages. Would 100% recommend Chris and wouldn’t hesitate to use him again. Thank you Chris for everything.
Chris was amazing with Molly! She can be a nervous dog but she took a shine to him straight away. During her stay, Chris kept us updated everyday with pics and vids of Molly, we loved seeing our girl basking in the sun. We will 100% be asking Chris to look after our Molly again, couldn't have asked for a better sitter!
This was our second time using Christopher and we can’t recommend him enough! Our dog Bobby loves to spend time with him, and really enjoys his walks in the nearby park, where he seems to find a new ball every day. Christopher is fantastic with communication, and I appreciate his daily photo and video updates. I know Bobby is well looked after and cared for with Christopher, and we will definitely use him again. Thanks so much Christopher!
