I currently work part time in a retail position, so my schedule varies there, but that allows me more freedom and flexibility in when I can have time available to check in on your fur baby. I do also have a touring gig, so there may be weekends or full weeks where I am unavailable.

My dogs have always held an important space in my life, and I know your pets hold the same in yours. I practice a calm and patient approach to pet care, where I allow your pet to approach me as they feel comfortable. I am comfortable giving pills in a healthy and safe way, with the techniques that you have used to ensure they are feeling healthy. I am comfortable in a variety of situations, whether that be taking your dog for a long walk, playing with a cat in the comfort of an apartment, or watching a dog for an afternoon

I’d love to know any unique behaviors that your pet does in how they act. As well as any special needs your animal may need, whether that be certain ways to get them to eat, certain treats they like, any allergies, and how they react to other animals. If there are any unique command words, gestures, or any other small tricks you have to help stimulate them mentally and physically, that would be great to know as well!
A typical day
I love taking dogs on long walks through a variety of terrain in order to provide a longer and active walk style. I’m strong enough to usually play tug of war with large dogs, providing a fun challenge for them. I also love to play fetch, and entertain dogs with whatever toys they love!

I grew up in the country side in Michigan, where we had all sorts of animals, from goats and chickens, to cats and dogs. I always had a minimum of four dogs around me at all times, with all sorts of different breeds, from cane corse mastiffs to dachshunds and everything in between. I have come to learn how to handle dogs of different temperaments that live together, and how to help ensure different kinds of animal are being cared for at the same level all at oncs Currently I have a maremma sheepdog that I’ve worked with extensively in ensuring he is properly trained, and as he has grown older, he has had a couple health conditions that require him to take a couple pills, so I am well versed in ensuring an animal takes their medications. My partner and I also have two cats together that we have worked with on training in a variety of different ways. I work a touring life with bands, so while there are stretches of time where I am unavailable, I pride myself on being a reliable and responsible animal lover. Where I work with my partner (who is also on rover)in the care of our animals at home. Prior to any alone time with pets, we will schedule a meet and greet, to help ensure that I can be a good fit for your pet!

Christopher (Mikey) is an animal lover through and through and is incredibly attentive to every need your pet may have. He takes the time to truly bond with the pets he is caring for—it’s very clear he doesn’t care for pets for the money, but because he genuinely loves every one he meets. My cats absolutely adore him (maybe more than they do me) and I cannot recommend him enough.
My dog, Roo, loves Christopher. He always treats her with the same care and attention that he does his own pup, Krypto. When they're together I don't have to be anxious and can relax and enjoy myself because I know she's safe and happy!
Christopher is a wonderfull and responsible pet owner and sitter. He is always very attentive to his pets and our pets needs. I would highly recommend and gladly ask him to take care of my pets anytime.
