Safe, Reliable Dog Care
Hey, I’m Chappy! Christopher is my legal name… I specialize in walking / caring for large dogs and working breeds, but am happy to work with all breeds and sizes. I have worked with high-energy, reactive, less than sociable dogs too, giving them the physical and metal fulfillment they need. I personally have two larger dogs, Count (German Shepherd Husky mix, 110lbs) and Bentley (German Shepherd Dutch Shepherd mix, 80lbs). I’ve also worked with a range of breeds from pugs to golden retrievers to Alsatian shepherds to American bull dogs.

Christopher is a true dog lover and I feel fortunate to have found him to take care of my pack whenever I’m not around. I have a lot of attendant anxiety when trying to pair my dogs with a suitable sitter- for no other reason than that they need a lot of exercise and ask for a lot of attention. Christopher alleviated every ounce of attendant stress experienced by leaving my dogs in someone’s care. He took my dogs on outings, updated me with charming photos and was completely unflappable when it came to managing two high energy and young labs along with a corgi who needs to herd everyone to feel fulfilled. On top of all of this, Christopher took excellent care of my home- maybe even leaving it cleaner than I did for him. 5 stars for Christopher, absolutely!
Chris was great with my dog. I got daily pictures and updates while he was boarded. From the moment we arrived, I could tell that he knew how to handle and take care of dogs, especially playing with his two dogs. Couldn't recommend enough!
From working with Chris, not only is he an attentive and affectionate caregiver to my dogs, he makes sure my pets are truly part of the family. He has extensive knowledge of training highly reactive breeds, he knows when dogs are playing versus getting potentially aggressive, and he also knows how to talk to other dog owners to make the environment welcoming and safe for all. I feel more than comfortable leaving my dogs at his home. I know my furry babies are in great hands!
Christopher (Chappy) was great with our pup! He really knows how to care for dogs, make them feel comfortable, and fulfill their needs. They loved hiking and swimming too!

Schedule
I’m a freelance, work from home marketer, so I’m pretty much always at home and available to take care of dogs, or am able to come to you and take your pup out.

Safety, trust & environment
We live on roughly 8 acres in Sonoma County, so there is plenty of room at our home for dogs to run and explore. I have two friendly German Shepherd mix dogs that love having friends over. We also have a secure deck that the dogs loving sunbathing on and watching the world go by. I can crate your dog, if need be (we have a crate / room for crates), along with the ability to keep dogs separate if need be. Should your dog use a e-collar of any sort, I’m trained in properly using them, as both of my dogs are trained to them. If your dog loves to hike, we regularly go for hikes on the trails around Sonoma County, or to Dillon Beach to run around off leash.

A typical day
We often run around and explore on the roughly eight acres we live on. There’s lots to sniff and a short hiking trail for the dogs to run on. We also regularly go for hikes on the dog friendly trails around Sonoma County, walks on the walking trails like Spring Lake, or headed out to the coast if it’s warm inland and run around on the beach at Dillon Beach. If there’s anything in particular your pup loves to do, let me know and we can certainly try and do that too!
