As a disabled Air Force veteran, I’ve built my life around caring for animals. Every morning starts with my own dogs, with a walk, plenty of sniff time, training, and breakfast before I begin caring for my clients’ pets. Because pet care is my full-time focus, I schedule each day to give every animal the time and attention they deserve. I don’t rush visits or treat pets like appointments on a checklist. Every dog and cat is cared for like a member of my own extended family.

Safety, trust & environment
Every pet is different, so I tailor my care to their personality, age, energy level, and routine. Before care begins, I take the time to learn each pet’s schedule, feeding routine, medications, favorite activities, and any behavioral or medical needs. During every walk, drop-in visit, or house sitting stay, I focus on more than just the basics. Fresh food and water, potty breaks or litter box cleaning, exercise, enrichment, playtime, affection (on their terms), and careful observation are all part of my routine. For dogs, that may include walks, sniff time, games, or short training sessions. For cats, it may mean interactive play, brushing, or simply providing calm companionship if they’re shy or prefer a quieter approach. When caring for pets in your home, I treat both your pets and your home with the same respect I would my own. I’ll follow your instructions carefully, keep things tidy, bring in mail or packages if requested, and help maintain your pet’s normal routine to reduce stress while you’re away. You’ll also receive regular photo and text updates so you always know how your pets are doing. I don’t believe in simply checking a box and leaving. I believe in building trust with every animal I care for, providing companionship, enrichment, and dependable care so you can have complete peace of mind while you’re away.
Information Christopher C. would like to know about your pet
Some things I like to know include: * Your pet’s daily routine and feeding schedule * Favorite toys, games, treats, and activities * Commands they know and any training cues you use * Medical conditions, medications, allergies, or dietary restrictions * Fears or anxieties, such as thunderstorms, fireworks, or strangers * Reactivity to other dogs, cats, wildlife, bicycles, or people * Escape artist tendencies or behaviors I should watch for * Places they enjoy walking or areas you’d like me to avoid * House rules, including furniture privileges, crate routines, and off-limits areas * Emergency contacts and your veterinarian’s information My goal is to keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible while you’re away. The more you share with me, the more I can help your pet feel safe, comfortable, and right at home. Also, What does your pet do when they’re stressed, scared, or uncomfortable?
A typical day
A typical visit is built around your pet’s routine and personality. Whether we’re heading out for a neighborhood walk, exploring a new trail, practicing a few fun training exercises, or stopping for a pup cup (with your permission, of course!), my goal is to make every visit both enriching and enjoyable. I believe dogs need more than just exercise. They need mental stimulation, opportunities to sniff and explore, and quality one-on-one time. For cats, I provide interactive play, enrichment, affection on their terms, and a calm, comforting presence. Every visit ends with fresh water, a quick wellness check, and plenty of photos and updates so you know your best friend is having a great day.

Experienced Dog Care Professional
Pet care experience
Hi! I’m Shane. I’ve spent years working professionally with dogs, first as an Animal Care Technician at a local humane society and later as a dog trainer. Along the way I’ve worked with everything from playful puppies to senior dogs, shy rescues, high-energy dogs, and dogs that need a little extra patience and understanding. I know every dog is different, so I take the time to get to know their personality, routine, and what helps them feel safe and comfortable. Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood, a drop-in visit, or staying with them while you’re away, my goal is to give them the same care and attention I’d want someone to give my own pets. I believe dogs do best when they’re treated with patience, consistency, and kindness, and that’s exactly what you can expect from me. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family member!

Reviews
Shane is great with my cats and dogs. He loves to make sure they are properly cared for. He has a personal touch with my dog Maya since she is the smallest (chihuahua) out of all my fur-kids.
