Pet care experience

Kind, responsible, & fun dog lover

I grew up taking care of dogs and have also sat many of my friends' dogs. My best dog pal Frank has been with me since April 2020, and I've learned a lot about how to train dogs, positive reinforcement, and dog psychology-- I consider myself an amateur dog trainer. I LOVE dogs. They are funny, cute, smart, and energetic creatures filled with joy that makes our lives better.

Prior to leaving Daisy during a two-week trip, I left Daisy with Chris for an overnight. When my wife and I dropped her off for the long stay Daisy was so excited to be back with Chris and Brady. That gave us total confidence that Daisy was in good hands. When we picked her up Daisy was happy, looked great and well cared for. We received photos and comments during her stay. Chris was a great dog sitter and has my recommendation.

We had scheduled a one-night stay to help Daisy get some time with Christopher prior to a longer stay in the future. We had to delay the stay for a week. Christopher was very easy to work with and accommodating in adjusting the schedule. Daisy came back for the overnight acting very happy and from all information and appearances it went very well. We feel very comfortable leaving Daisy for a longer stay in the future.

Chris is so kind, flexible, and easy to work with! Besito always has an amazing time staying with him and comes home relaxed and happy. I love receiving all the cute pics and updates. Absolutely my go-to dog sitter.

Christopher has become my "go to" sitter for Sadie. She can be cautious when meeting new people but has gotten more comfortable with every visit. I am grateful she has found a second home where she can be happy when I am away. Christopher and Braden are great hosts, and Frank (their dog) is good company.

Schedule

I work from home most days, so I can give plenty of attention to dogs that I'm boarding. I can accommodate whatever schedule your four legged friend needs. Frank's schedule is outside time first thing in the morning, breakfast, afternoon outside time, an evening walk, and then dinnertime. He will go out one or two more times after dinner if he asks.

Safety, trust & environment

Frank is an incredibly friendly and social dog that gets along with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and breeds. I have a wonderful fenced in backyard that your dog can play and explore in with me and Frank, as well as a very friendly Labrador next door that also comes over for playtime too. I believe in the power of treats, so I always have some at the ready to get a dogs attention and practice commands and prevent bad behavior. I treat dogs with kindness, affection, and positive reinforcement. I feel a kindredness with dogs and make sure to spend some time getting to know their personality. If your dog doesn't know basic commands, they will by the time they leave!

Pets

A typical day

What fun activities will you do with the dogs you watch? Do you have special places you like to go on walks? We have lots of fun dog toys in the house. The primary activity is fetch outside in the backyard. If you're comfortable with it, we also will go to a nearby dog park like Swift Run to get out extra energy. There's plenty of opportunity to go explore and play in my backyard. We do go on daily walks in the neighborhood, which is very safe and a low traffic area with plenty of sidewalk and yards to sniff around in. There will also be lots of treats and training time!

Please be sure to let me know if there are any quirks or behaviors to watch out for (i.e. are they a squirrel chaser or frequent barker?) Also what is your dogs favorite treat? Do they have a favorite scratch spot? Do they do well with boarding? Anything at all to help make your dog's stay comfortable and fun!
