Walking is my passion

I walk 3-6 miles daily at least 5 days per week. I've owned all types of breeds from shihtzu to German Shepherds and pit bulls. I simply love four legged fur babies. I like to walk in the fresh outdoors and I'd love to take your baby with me for at least 30 minutes (1-2 miles) per day. More time is always negotiable. I chose Rover because I happened upon the site. During my walks I pass so many yards with dogs left in their small yards. For many of them, I'm pretty certain, that yard time is the full extent of their daily activity. Hence, I decided to find a way to get those babies out to play. That's when I found Rover and it was the perfect fit for me. I've always been a dog lover. In choosing to walk the dogs, I also realize that people go on vacations and everyone wants their fur baby to be with someone they know in a loving home environment. Walking and drop-ins are my primary focus with sitting being only an occasional- as needed- basis. My home has a fenced in back yard to prevent escapes. I also double leash larger/potentially more aggressive dogs; one is a collar/leash and the other is a harness/leash combo. In walking the dogs, I make sure that they learn simple commands (if not already taught) and I establish dominance right away. When approaching people or other animals I tend to shorten the length of their leash, make them go into a sit/stay position, preferably against bushes or a wall, and then I use my body as a barrier of distraction until the approaching party has passed. I then give a treat as a reward for good behavior when they follow my "leave it command. Our home is a simple home. It's clean and sanitary but we truly 'live' in our home. The boy cave is a fun hangout for my sons and the dogs (including your babies). Our style is fun and whimsical. A large but simple back yard lends to lots of running and playing along with a pool that the dogs are free to use. We hang out there day or night. I'm not a professional groomer so there're no fancy grooming tables etc...but I do have lots of toys, treats, love and energy for your babies. They have free run 'literally' all over my house. And run & chase is what we do :)

What a PERFECT family to leave our dog with. Friendly, understanding, and loving. I’m not sure Lexi really wanted to leave! I am pretty sure she is missing all of her new friends.

Christine has watched my pup multiple times over the past year and I love how happy my pup is to see her, how happy she is when I pick her up. I feel completely comfortable leaving my pup with Christine. I know that she will be loved and happy while I’m away.

Christine watched my two very hyper dogs for about 5 days and I felt very comfortable and she kept me updated the entire time! They had plenty of friends to play with as well. Will

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced yard and secondary system to prevent any escapes. During yard play, they are never left unattended. If your pup is a swimmer, we have a pool and we do encourage them to partake. At night time, I separate my littles from my bigs for their own safety and sense of space and security.
