Cat Sitters w/ Cat Playground Oasis

Pet care experience

NOTE: We only care for cats in our boarding, drop in visits and house sitting services! Rover is very dog-centric so even though it says “dog” in the app interface such as "senior dog" or "special needs dog," we only take care of and specialize in cats because we only have experience with cats and we love cats! Sorry if the app makes it a little confusing! Christine Wong is the primary owner of this Rover profile, but this is a joint partnership with Addison Chen and Christine Wong! We are married and both board together as we live in our condo together, and Addison and I will also be doing drop-in visits and housesitting together. In the case where one person cannot make it (sickness, emergency, or time conflict), you can be rest assured that there will definitely be one of us! Addison Chen has also gone through the proper vetting with Rover through background checks as well. We both co-own and co-parent our three cats together too. Since my employer, Google, has shifted to a hybrid mode at work, I do have to go to the office three times a week while Addison is working fully remote at home, so you can be rest assured that your cats will still have 24/7 supervision and care! Since we co-owned and co-parented our three cats for the past four years, he was also involved when I fostered cats as well and has previously assisted with Rover cat boarding clients, so he is just as experienced as me! If you have any questions at all about Addison Chen, we can definitely discuss over the chat in the booking request or in the in person or virtual meet and greets as well! We have three cats of our own for three years or so (raised two as kittens!) and we also fostered two cats from Best Friends Animal Society for about a year. We adopted the second foster cat who now became my third cat, so we’ve stopped fostering, and we’ve also cat sit my friend's cat for a week before. Honestly we mostly started with Rover because if we continued fostering, we would fall in love with more cats and adopt a fourth cat 😹 At least with Rover we can guarantee your cat will go home! We have a lot of experience working with shy cats, kittens, cats with special health needs (oral and topical medication), senior cats, and cats in general through our own cats, fostering, and cat sitting! We live in a condo we bought ourselves where we currently have three cats of our own. In your own home, we will take in consideration all of your concerns, house or cat-related, and your cat's health and safety is our priority! We will make sure that your cats will take the medication or treatment they need and also provide the stimulation they need to be happy!

Christine and Addison were very responsive and attentive. I did not have any worries about leaving my two 2-year old cats in their care for a short stay. They sent a video and photos of my cats while I was gone, which was reassuring. They were also very flexible and accommodating when my pickup time had to change. I would highly recommend them.

We had an issue with our doorman letting them in and they came back same day to redo the visit. We so appreciate their attentiveness

Christine & Addison we’re fantastic as always, and extra helpful when my trip was delayed a day. My cat is instantly comfortable at their home, where she is clearly given a lot of love and affection.

Thank you so much for taking such good care of our cat Olivia! We appreciated the regular updates via picture, video and chat which let us know she was in great hands. It was nice to have her bond with your cats as well which seemed to make her feel more comfortable in her home away from home. Would recommend to others and use again!

We live in a condo where we currently have three cats of our own. Your cat(s) would be boarded in our bedroom (pictured) and they would have full reign of the living room (pictured) as well when we move our own cats to our second bedroom! You can choose to have your cats completely isolated from other cats the entire duration of the stay or that we can slowly introduce them and maybe they’ll have a new playmate! Many clients choose to slowly introduce so they can see how they react with other cats when considering a second cat or playmate. Our cats have so much experience with other cats due to fostering, cat sitting, and Rover, and we have a lot of experience doing slow introductions as well to make sure all cats are comfortable. Since we are cat owners ourselves and have a dedicated Rover room, you are rest assured and only have to bring your cat, their carrier, and their food! Your cat could have an upset stomach adjusting to new foods, but always open to having your food delivered to us. We also could use our own wet and dry adult cat food if needed. We have a cat proofed apartment as we have cats of our own and it was our first priority when moving into our apartment to make sure the furniture, wires, and fragile items are in the best spot to ensure safety of our own cats! Due to this, your own cats will be safe in our home! Everything in the condo is cat proofed with no unders and many cat furniture like 3-4 litter boxes, 3 cat trees (1 in every room!), 4-5 scratching posts (vertical AND horizontal), water fountains, cat hammocks, cat beds, high and low food bowls, grooming tools, wet and dry treats (even the addicting Churus!), tons of toys, Feliway calming cat pheromone infusers, and even cameras that we use to watch over our cats when we are away from home. It is a cat playground! We also have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, so it makes isolation and quarantine very easy as well as a proper slow introduction for long-term cat boarding. We have a very flexible work schedule as we have two people, Addison who works from home and Christine who works hybrid. We also have experience bathing, grooming, brushing teeth and trimming nails with kittens, adult cats, and feisty cats! If you would like your cat's teeth brushed, please also provide your cat's dental kit for hygienic reasons. We can brush their fur and trim their nails with our own supplies. We can also cater to your cats' needs with our schedules and bring our experience to help you feel comfortable that your cat is in good hands! We are also very responsive via phone, video, email, or text, so if you would like updates, we can definitely do that!

Information Christine & Addison W. would like to know about your pet

It would be helpful to know the temperament and behaviors of your cat (high energy, bites, very calm, eats very fast) as we can track to see if their behavior is different than normal and to be aware of what needs to be done. In addition to any special or medical needs would help as well! Also knowing if you are open for your cat to go to our nearest vet or to your vet (and their information as well)!

A typical day

Your cats would be greeted with cat trees, toys, tunnels, and many fun activities! I use a cat "fishing rod" to engage with the cats as well as provide treats to further stimulate them!

Availability

Addison works from home every day and I work hybrid in the office and from home, so we can provide the extra and special care your pet needs. On weekday nights or weekends, we may go out for errands, but we have a very flexible schedule. We clean the litter box every day, feed on your own cats' meal times are and play every day! We have a home office, but when we have a cat with us exploring and frolicking in the living room, we take our laptop out to the living room so we can be close to the cats and keep a close watch!
