Pet care experience

Bring on the critters!

Hi everyone! For anyone I might have missed, I am moving at the end of August. I will have sporadic cell service for the first few months, so if you message and don’t hear back right away as usual, that’s why. I will respond once I can though. I will miss you all! I grew up with dogs and mostly housesat furry canines before moving here to Vancouver in 2016. Now I housesit both cats & dogs. I am familiar with giving medications, so your pet won’t have to go without theirs while you’re away. If your cat is leash trained and likes going for walks, I will take them out for walking adventures, and if your dog likes going to the dog park, I will even take them for some free running fun! I can also send daily updates and pictures if you like for peace of mind.

The most exceptional sitter, communicator, and wealth of great doggy resources. Thank you Christine for always taking such good care of our pup, AND our home. We always know our guy is in the best of hands when we’re gone, and appreciate your communication and commitment to his care. Thank you!!

Christine is an amazing dog sitter and human! She was recommended by another client of hers and friend of mine and I now will recommend her to anyone I know needing dog/house sitting services. She was able to step in last minute for a work trip I had and I could not be more grateful! My sweet old man pug has quite the regimen of upkeep and quirks, had just had a seizure the week prior and was starting new seizure meds and Christine was not only willing to "take on" the house/dog sitting I needed, but was attentive to all directions during our meet and greet, asked thoughtful clarifying questions to make sure she was able to give him the care he needed while I was gone. Her communication is consistent, clear and detailed. She relays info and sends pics regularly and when I got a pic of my doggo cuddling her on the couch the same way he cuddles me - my heart melted! She was able to bond with him, take care of his needs, and my house was spotless when I came back. I could go on and on...She is simply amazing, professional, and also a sweetheart. She even left me a challah loaf to enjoy! 10/10 recommend! Will def be utilizing her in the future.

Calendar and availability

Schedule

Hi everyone, for anyone that I missed I wanted to let you know I am moving at the end of August 2026. For more details see my notes in “pet care experience”. I will miss you all!

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

Prior to each pet sitting gig, I would like to meet you and your critter(s). That way you can show me around your home, how to administer any medications your pet(s) might need, and make sure your fur babies and I will get along while you’re away.

A typical day

A typical day of pet care will include walks in the morning and after class/work. If the day is nice there might be a visit to a nearby dog park, a game of frisbee or ball, maybe even a walk along the waterfront or a farmer's market run. Snuggle sessions will occur daily for pets that like physical attention from the resident human. Also, if an adventure results in muddy critters (it happens on occasion), then a bath will be in the cards followed by a treat.

Things I'll need to know ahead of time are a dog or cat's behaviors with strangers (people/dogs/cats), exercise needs, attention needs, and medications. -For dogs & cats that need medications, I like to be shown how to administer them; especially if a cat needs an injection. I used to give my cat IV fluids once a weeks, however, that is different from daily shots. Do pills go straight down the throat, or are the hidden in treats, pill wraps, or just mixed with the food? - For high energy dogs, what are their exercise needs like? Is a walk 2x a day enough? - Also, dogs who are high energy or prefer to accompany their human on errands or get togethers with friends- are your pets friendly with strangers and other dogs/cats? One way I get dogs their exercise and attention is by bringing them with me during everyday activities, going to the dog park, and to visit friends (typically in public places). Could your dog accompany me to Music at the Waterfront or the Farmer’s market where there will lots of noise, people in close proximity, kids running around and other pets near enough to sniff?
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
