As I provide care within your home setting, I trust that your place of residence will have an environment that is safe for both your dog(s) and visitors, whether that includes a crate, barrier/baby gate for the front door, or basic commands.
Informationen, die Christine R. gerne über dein Haustier wissen möchte
Important things for me to know are: 1) Is your dog dog-reactive? Do we need to stay away from other dogs during walking? 2) Is your dog a leash puller? 3) Are there any commands that your dog is responsive to that would help me during walking? 4) Does your dog have any recent injuries that would limit walking time? 5) Are there any triggers that would help me be safer around your dog? ie) does not like paw wiping because he/she may nip, etc. 6) For drop-ins, I request to have detailed instructions on all of your dog’s care, so that I can provide the highest quality of care to your pup while you are away. ie) food portions, medication doses, etc.

I understand that stimulation is best achieved through walking and play time. Living in Alameda, we are blessed to be by the water, a beach, nice walking paths along the shoreline, and parks! I love taking the dogs I watch on walks along the shoreline and also watching the water from the benches in the park. Occasionally, I like to visit a dog park for doggy play time, but I will only do this if you are comfortable with your dog being in this setting.

Erfahrung in der Haustierbetreuung
Hello, my name is Christine and I have been living in Alameda for 5 years. In my life, I have cared for 2 seniors dogs - Cookie (7-14 y.o.) and more recently Louie (9 weeks-10 y.o.), who have both now crossed the rainbow bridge. I am comfortable with administering medications, drop-ins, walking, and feeding. I occasionally dog sit for some of my neighbors and friends that live in my neighborhood. I am also a volunteer at a local shelter in the East Bay, focusing primarily on small dog socialization, behavior observation, and preparing the dogs for adoption. Being in the shelter so often, I am comfortable being around many different dog breeds and temperaments. If you would like to book with me, please send me a message and we can set up a meet-and-greet! I look forward to meeting you and your furbaby soon!

I've known Christine for about five years—we met through Polynesian dance and have practiced and performed together regularly. Over time, our connection grew beyond the studio; we’re now neighbors and close friends who often go on walks and enjoy lunch together. Christine has looked after my dog, Hazel, many times—whether I’m out of town for an extended weekend or getting home late from work. Hazel is a 62-pound pitbull with cancer, so she requires special care, including specific meals and daily medication. Christine has been incredibly reliable and attentive with her care, and I always feel at ease knowing Hazel is in such capable hands. Hazel is very loving toward people but can be a bit wary of other dogs. Christine has done an excellent job managing her interactions and making sure everyone stays safe and comfortable on walks. She takes Hazel out three times a day—two longer walks in the morning and evening around meals, and a shorter relief walk in the afternoon. Christine is kind, responsible, and truly loves animals. She cared deeply for her own dog, Louie (may he rest in peace), who was a sweet and well-behaved pup. I’ve seen firsthand how dedicated she is to giving dogs the attention, structure, and love they need. I wholeheartedly recommend Christine as a dog walker on Rover. Your pet will be in caring, thoughtful, and experienced hands.
Christine is truly one of those people who just gets dogs. As a proud French Bulldog mom herself, she brings both natural intuition and real-life experience to every walk and pet sit — and it shows. From the first time she met my pup, there was an instant sense of calm and trust. Christine isn’t just doing the basics — she’s genuinely tuned in to what each dog needs, whether it’s a slow stroll, some extra playtime, or a reassuring presence while I’m away. I’ve come home to a happy, relaxed dog every single time she’s been with Christine. What I appreciate most is her mix of warmth, dependability, and that special something you can’t quite teach — a real love for animals that comes through in everything she does. She updates me with little notes or photos that always make me smile. If you’re looking for someone who treats your dog like her own, I can’t recommend Christine enough. Your dog will love her — and so will you.
Christine is a wonderful pet sitter and dog walker. She has cared for both of our English bulldogs when we’ve been away and she is super responsible, super nice, and always does a great job. Our dogs just love her. I cannot recommend Christine highly enough. We will definitely use her in the future.
