I'm a dog owner and have spent years dog sitting for friends with dogs of every size and health need, from bouncy pups to older dogs with mobility issues. My own dog, Rex, is getting on in years and has arthritis, so I know first-hand how important it is to have care that's tailored to your dog's pace, whether that's a gentle amble or a proper adventure. I joined Rover because Rex can't manage the long runs in the woods and by the river that she used to love, and I wanted to give her some company from other dogs, plus keep myself company on walks too! I'm just as happy providing a slow, sniffy stroll for an older or less mobile dog as I am tiring out a young, energetic one. I live on a quiet, gated street with a small, secure fenced garden, right opposite a park, so there's plenty of space for toilet breaks, playtime, or just pottering about safely. I work remotely so can be home all day. I'm flexible on how much or how little walking your dog needs and I treat every dog in my care with the same patience and attention I give my own.
