Pet care experience

Committed, careful and concerned

I’ve been breeding, showing and caring for animals virtually my whole life; from 4-H as a child through my BS in Animal Science. I’ve shown and managed horses, alpacas, sheep and cattle; we currently maintain a small flock of exhibition poultry and I breed, show and compete with my dogs. I’m actively involved in the local dog and poultry community. I welcome farm animals of any sort as well, and am committed to caring for your pets and house in the same manner I would my own. I know how much I appreciate leaving my own animals with peace of mind, so strive to provide the same to you. I am able to provide a safe environment for a variety of pets, and welcome your contact to discuss the best options for your pet’s comfort. I am state licensed and additionally insured and will require documentation of your dog’s current license and rabies vaccination to maintain that status. I also ask that you schedule a meet-and-greet before your dog’s first stay so we can determine your comfort level and any specific accommodations. Thank you!

Christine was great with Oscar. He came back home full of both energy and the need to sleep a lot, so he definitely had fun. He'll be going back in October and we highly recommend.

Christine took great care of our lab Lucy! She sent us pictures and videos throughout her stay. Lucy loved the large fenced in yard! It was so nice to know she was with a loving caregiver while we were on vacation and not in a kennel. We would highly recommend Christine!

This was our first time we had Christine and was amazing!! Her home is so welcoming and gives you a sense of comfort knowing that my dogs were going to be safe and comfortable. She was so attentive to both of our dogs. She communicated daily and sent videos and pictures. Our dog suffers from epilepsy and she was so good with taking care of him. Extremely patient. She was open to understanding his needs and she was still willing to car for him considering his medical condition. Our dogs were happy to be at her home and we can tell they had a great time. I extremely recommend her!!

Christine was incredible! I received numerous updates, photos, and videos while I was away. My dog got along well with her dogs, who were very well behaved and gentle with a newcomer in their home. Her house and property are beautiful... The large yard is securely fenced in and provided a wonderful place to roam! Will be rebooking :)

Excellent first time boarding for Enzo. Christine communicated with pictures and texts and made me feel comfortable leaving 6 month old puppy Enzo overnight for the first time. Will definitely use again! And Enzo had fun with Christine’s Pippi and daughter! Thank you Christine!

Christine is our sweet pup’s second mama. Riley stayed with Christine for a week while we had our floors done. He was so cared for and loved. He played with Christine’s dogs and the pictures and videos she shared with me made it seem like the best week at summer camp. Riley came home happy and was sad to say goodbye to Christine. Knowing your pet is loved and having fun when you can’t be with them, is the most comforting.

Schedule

I currently work part time with plenty of time before and after to care for your dog(s); there is generally someone at home most of the time.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 2 dogs
No children present
Dogs not allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 2-4 hours

Safety, trust & environment

Visitor pets are crated at night but have access to the yard that is appropriate for them (I have a smaller fenced area close to the house for small dogs and puppies; a larger area behind the house for larger dogs). Weather permitting; they can be outside as much as they want as long as I’m home.

Pets

A typical day

We have a large, fully fenced yard for large dogs and a smaller, less imposing yard for small dogs or puppies. Daily walks, basic training, grooming and nail trims available as well!

0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
over 101 lbs
Crate-trained dogs only
Christine can host up to 2 pets per night
No breed preferences...but would like knowledge of medical history, particular preferences, fears/phobias and emergency contacts. Because I am state licensed, I also require proof of current rabies vaccination and county license.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
