**Make sure to book soon for the holidays- before all my slots fill up! Presently, I am either spending all day with my animals, taking care of my house, cooking/baking, going on adventures with my husband, and/or endlessly rehabbing from multiple major brain surgeries I have had over the last couple of years. What all of that means is that I have plenty of time throughout the day to come help you with your pets! Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions! ***Important: I will not accept bookings for dog walks that occur when it is dark outside. I apologize, but I am not comfortable walking dogs in the dark while by myself. Thank you for your understanding.

I want to make sure that I stick as close to your pets’ routines as possible to minimize any stress or anxiety they may have due to you being gone. I think it is important to try and maintain a sense of normalcy for all animals while their humans are away. Not only that, but I understand leaving your furry family member(s) for any amount of time is often very stressful for you too, so I want you to feel as comfortable as possible with me. I strive to be a reliable sitter who you know will take care of your pets as if they were my own, which will hopefully help decrease any anxiety you may have about leaving your pets when you go out of town. Please me aware that I may charge an extra $4-$5 (depending on location) per mile you are outside my booking area due to time and gas expenses!

Información que a Christine D. le gustaría saber sobre tu mascota
Let me know if your pup or kitty has any special needs. My oldest dog has epilepsy and seizures, as well as frequent ear infections. She also requires a lot of medication (oral, ear drops, eye drops, etc.), so I am quite capable of taking care of any special needs dogs or cats and am able to give almost any type of medication your pet needs. Additionally, I find that it is very important for me to know what your dog’s, cat’s, or other animal’s daily routine is on any normal day. Once I know that, I can attempt to replicate and stay as close to their normal routines as possible in order to keep your pet’s stress level as low as possible while you are gone. Additionally, if there are any specific commands (sit, stay, etc.) you want me to use with your pet, let me know!

When I am taking care of your pup, we can go on short or long walks, depending on your pet’s needs. Whether your dog likes balls, bones, stuffed animals, frisbees, or anything else, I will make sure to play with them as frequently as you want me to. Plenty of pets for your pup is also a given: just let me know their favorite spot to get scratches! I personally take my dogs on hikes and to the beach whenever possible and I would love to do tons of fun things with your pup too! Cats are a whole other ball of wax. I usually just let the cat dictate how he/she wants our interactions to go. I love petting cats that want pets and cuddles; I also love playing with them. Some cats I’ve watched just want to sit on my lap and get pets for most of the visit. Others come out to eat and then go lounge around wherever they are most comfortable. So let me know what your cat personally likes so that I can take care of them to the best of my ability!

Please be sure to ask me about my military, police, and other first responder discounts to see if you qualify! I (Christi) have had German Shepherds, cats, snakes, and a random assortment of small rodents my entire life since I was born. I currently have 3 cats, a California King Snake, a beta fish, and 2 German shepherds. Both of my dogs are rescues who came to me and my husband from different types of abusive homes/situations, so I understand how to approach and handle many rescue dogs. I am aware of almost all types of behavior patterns, postures, and other cues that provide insight into how the animal is feeling and I generally am able to determine what the best response is to those cues in order to make sure the animal feels safe, comfortable, and not overwhelmed. Additionally, I have volunteered with multiple wildlife rescues (working with owls, foxes, crows, possums, raccoons, snakes, cats, dogs, and more) and I have rescued, and occasionally rehabilitated, many types of animals. Some examples include a mole stuck in the middle of the road trying to dig through asphalt, baby ducks whose mom was killed by a car, turtles in the road, snakes in houses & garages, an eastern coachwhip with life threatening injuries, and baby geese stuck in a storm drain, to name a few. I am Florida born and raised, so I am used to and ok with all sorts of animals! Additionally, I have a lot of experience giving pets shots, pills, eye medications, ear medications, and topical medications too. If you book me, please let me know if need any claws trimmed or coats brushed. Depending on the animal, I generally preform those services for free. I have worked extensively with both cats and dogs and am comfortable giving your pet any shots it may need (i.e. insulin shots for diabetes). I understand some people find it difficult to give cats pills, but I am not one of those people: I have an extensive amount of experience giving pills to cats and dogs.

Christine is absolutely fantastic and truly deserves her 5-star rating! She took wonderful care of our dogs, kept us updated, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Reliable, caring, and professional — exactly as advertised. We will definitely be using her again!

Christie was wonderful with our cats. She is kind and attentive. Our cats warmed up to her right away ( and we are talking a spicy calico) She accommodated our early feed time and is very detail-oriented- asking questions about their care I had not thought about. We plan to continue working with Christie and would highly recommend her for pet care in your home.

Christine took amazing care of our babies while we were away! It’s very hard to find reliable, trustworthy, and attentive people to watch your animals and Christine went above and beyond for our kitties. She sent me tons of pictures and videos everyday, and left detailed descriptions of what she did while taking care of the babies. She even took helped out with taking our mail inside for us and pulling the trash can off the street. She is absolutely amazing and I will definitely use her again!
Such a great job! My cat was very well taken care of! I will definitely be using her services again!
