Treating your pup(s) like my own
I’m newer to the dog world but make up for it in passion and enthusiasm! I adopted my first dog seven years ago and dove head first into dog training with him. Since then, I have dog walked, dropped in, and pet sit for friends and fostered dogs. I love connecting with new people and dogs. In July 2021, I completed an Obedience Intensive program at the Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers. I love dogs so much that I’m looking to make it a bigger part of my life which is why I’ve started offering my services on Rover. Since starting in July 2021, I’ve worked with over 120 dogs privately between boarding, daycare, training, and board and trains. I also work as a dog training instructor at Marin Humane. I work remotely, so I’m flexible on timing. I’m happy to work out something that best meets your and your dog’s needs. I have a fenced yard and three walking trails just a treat’s throw away. I do have two well trained dogs that spend part of their day hanging out on their cots or in their crates and the remainder free roaming the house and yard. I am flexible on the interaction between my dogs and yours. I can definitely keep them apart or let them do some supervised socialization in the yard. My dogs tend to be indifferent and neutral towards other dogs. I manage feedings, walks, and free time separately for each and every dog. I also only take in a few clients at a time to provide the best care. I do require that your dog is crate trained so that they can decompress and relax in a new environment as well as for their safety when I leave the house (a rare occasion). I am happy to talk about what your dog needs. I also do training with every dog regardless of how long or short they are with me unless you prefer otherwise. This helps me build a relationship with your dog more quickly. I’m professional in my interactions with clients and very communicative and responsive. In addition to the reviews listed here, I’m happy to provide references.

Christine is very knowledgeable and pleasant. She was good with our dog Angela and had an exceptional dog sitting set up area at her house. She even gave us some training tips and explained how Angela’s day would be filled. We will definitely rebook her for our future dog care needs.
Christine was incredible with my little French Bulldog Abby. She kept her for one week and it was the first time boarding her for that long so I was a little apprehensive leaving her with someone. Abby came away not wanting to leave, happy as a clam. Christine was great at communicating, sending photos, videos and updates. I have not reservations recommending Christine as someone to trust with you precious pet. She cares and is meticulous about details for your individual situation. Will definitely use again. Christine was wonderful with Willow. She is very knowledgeable about dog behavior. She did a lot of play with Willow and also did some good training with her. She kept us informed and was accommodating to our requests. We will confidently leave Willow with Christine the next time we travel.

Schedule
I work remotely and have a pretty flexible schedule. I take dogs out in the morning, afternoon, and evenings and also exercise/supervise them in my fenced in yard. With your approval, I may also take them out for adventures at the beach or on hikes or even on a camping trip!

Safety, trust & environment
I prioritize safety above everything else. Even for the most well behaved dogs, I supervise them at all times. I am conservative when it comes to letting dogs meet other dogs since I cannot control other peoples dogs and it’s not worth a potential incident.
Pets
A typical day
I believe that dogs need both physical, mental, and emotional stimulation every day. I’m happy to continue any routine that you already have with your dog or to introduce new physical and mental exercise routines. Otherwise, we play fetch in the yard, go on walks and hikes, and do some obedience training throughout the day. Tell me about your training goals or problem areas and I’m happy to work on them. I love taking dogs on less crowded trails and roads. I do not take dogs to dog parks for safety reasons - while I am confident about my ability to take care of the dog with me, I can’t control other dogs and prefer to proactively avoid potential conflict.
