The go to Foster for Local Rescue’s

Pet care experience

Former mental-health professional who is happily shifting my career from mental health & behavioral health counseling to full-time animal care—because honestly, dogs have always been my favorite therapy clients! I fully understand fear, trauma, and behavior at a deep level. For years I have been the go to Foster for local rescues for complex medical and emotional needs dogs. For nearly 15 years I’ve volunteered and fostered with local rescues and shelters, helping many dogs find calm, confidence, and their forever homes. I hold canine CPR & first-aid certification, I have extensive training in dog behavior and positive-reinforcement techniques, and I’m currently studying for my CPDT-KA professional dog trainer certification. When your dog stays with me, they are literally the only guest in my home. They have full run of the house and fully fenced backyard, sleep wherever they feel most secure (many choose right in bed with me), and receive gentle, constant companionship in an ultra-low-stress environment. I work from home, have no children present, no other animals and I am the only person in my home. My fully fenced, spacious backyard gives them plenty of room to zoom, play, or just sunbathe while I’m never more than a room away.

Christine is a superstar dog sitter! I left my senior bulldog in her care for 6 days with no worries. Prior to meeting him, she asked about Spanky's daily routine, likes and dislikes, wanting to know about his personality. When I dropped him off, he walked into her house and made himself at home. Christine communicates often to share pictures and to.provide updates. She was gracious enought to was work around a scheduling issue we encountered, as well! ! I am grateful Christine is available on Rover. I highly recommend her for pet sitting needs!

Christine is amazing!! We highly recommend her to anyone in need of a sitter. She was extremely easy to work with - friendly, responsive, and great about sending updates with photos. Most importantly, she has extensive experience with more challenging dogs. Our dog is highly reactive to other dogs and can be fearful around new people, but Christine put her at ease right away. From our first meeting, it was clear that Christine has an excellent ability to read dogs and adapt to their needs. We won’t hesitate to ask her for help again and we know our dog will be happy too!

5 Stars – Absolutely Outstanding House Sitter! We couldn’t have asked for a better person to look after our home and, more importantly, our three very spoiled dogs while we were away for two weeks. Christine was simply fantastic from start to finish. From the moment we met her, she asked all the right questions about the dogs’ routines, quirks, medications, favorite games, and even their individual walking routes. It was clear she genuinely loves animals and takes the responsibility seriously. While we were away, she sent us daily updates with the sweetest photos and little videos of the pups looking happier than ever, one even learned a new trick she taught him! Our shy rescue dog, who usually hides from strangers, was curled up on her lap by day two. That alone says everything. The house was spotless when we returned (honestly cleaner than we left it), plants watered, mail brought in, and she even baked banana bread because she noticed we were almost out of bananas. Little touches like that made it feel like we never left.

I’ve been at the shelter for 12 years and I’ve watched Christine walk in, look straight at the dog curled shaking in the back corner that nobody else dares touch, and quietly say, ‘I’ll take this one.’ Time after time she pulls our absolute toughest cases (the biters, the seizure dogs, the ones who scream when a hand moves near them) and every single one comes back months later wagging, adoptable, and transformed. She has given hundreds of forgotten dogs their very first experience of safety and love. We cry happy tears at every adoption because we know Christine’s selfless, round-the-clock dedication is the reason they made it. The shelter would be a darker place without her
