Pet care experience

Welcome to Camp Half Hound!

I've been caring for animals of all types ever since I learned how to ask my parents to let me keep them in the house! I'm no stranger to dogs, cats and even multitudes of pocket pets and farm animals. Nothing's too big or little for me! I also have experience in light grooming, administering medicine, as well as a variety of different types of diets, so your pet will be tended to with the utmost care. I value personalized care for each individual critter, so your pet will be attended to with their personal needs as our top priority. Being away from home can be a stressful time, so making sure they are tended to in the way they specifically need is very important for me. I have over 10 years experience in the pet industry, from caring for boarding dogs and cats to studying dietary and behavioral needs, as well as my own personal fur family. I became a full-time Rover sitter almost four years ago to dedicate my time to my animals and to give the best care possible to those who visit with me!

Christina has a great system worked out and is very communicative about how our pups were doing. We appreciated the consistent detailed updates and our pups settled in well pretty quickly. She’s awesome!

Christina did an excellent job taking care of our senior golden retriever. She kept us updated and sent pictures. It was so nice to enjoy a few days away without worrying about our pet! I would highly recommend her!

Lenny and Lucy lived their stay! Lenny loved the other pups to play with but even more so the little outdoor pool to cool off in! And Lucy loved playtime as well, but enjoyed some mellow time of cuddles on the couch! 💛 We loved getting updates of how their time was and some pictures while we were away! Def would book again!

Doggy Day Care • Apr 09, 2026

We’ve boarded our pup several times with Christina while traveling and recently started doggie day care. Christina makes the whole process easy and we get the BEST pictures of our sweet girl living her best life.

Safety, trust & environment

When it comes to dogs, I have experience with breeds of all types, and can not only help keep your pup's training routine in check, but can offer some insight as well in any problem areas and work to make sure we all have a fun time! Our top priority is to ensure everyone who stays with us has a safe, fun, and happy stay, and we have designed a kennel-home hybrid atmosphere to have the best fit for your dog while they stay with us. For our boarders & daycare pups, we have personalized play groups to make sure everyone gets along and is having a great time! We do utilize kennels for sleeping and feeding arrangements for the majority of our guests for safety reasons.

Pets

A typical day

We are located right in the heart of Monmouth on a private property and have a large fenced yard as well as an indoor area for our pups and visitors to play in. We also are big into enrichment toys, one on one training, and play sessions! I very much believe it is important to cater to a dog's individual enrichment style, and we spend quite a bit of time getting to know your dog and their needs.

I do ask that dogs that come to me do not have any issues being in the same room as another dog. I have five dogs who can be kept separate through the use of kennels and private spaces, but we are not able to cater to dog-reactive pups at this time. My dogs do love new visitors, but we like to make sure everyone is having as much fun and is as comfortable as possible! We do utilize kennels for feeding and sleeping arrangements, so we do ask that all visitors are able to be crated during those. DAYCARE: We currently have dedicated daycare groups sorted, and while we will try to work with you on the days you need, please be aware that we may ask you bring your dog on the most appropriate day for their play style and social needs! Currently we have a group dedicated to mostly larger dogs on Mondays and Wednesdays, a small dog group on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as well as an all female group for Thursdays! BOARDING: Beginning September 2026, we will no longer be hosting more than one family at a time for boarding situations (with exceptions made to special circumstances, as well as to regular daycare dogs). This allows us to give as much personalized care to the dogs we have staying with us, as well as to not disrupt the daycare group. We do ask that if you have plans to board your dog that you send us your dates as soon as possible, otherwise we may not be able to accommodate as we do fill up quick (especially around summertime and holidays!).
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
