Pet care experience
We are a family that has lifetimes of dog experience. From fosters to having our own spoiled-rotten pooches, we adore being around pups. As this is my full-time job and my husband working remotely, your pup will have plenty of company; as many walks as he/she would like; access to a large fenced yard; plenty of attention; supervised play, in a group-setting or solo; and meticulous care based on your instruction. My husband and I are no stranger to dogs gamut of dog personalities and quirks. Outright aggression, however, cannot be tolerated. Due to demand, I’m currently only able to accommodate virtual meet-and-greets. I recommend booking a trial daycare or overnight session if you feel your pup will need extra acclimation time. I first volunteered at the ASPCA at the age of 9 and have worked with rescue organizations as a behavior-assessor, foster, placement-consultant since. I’ve been pet sitting for DogVacay and Rover for over a decade and so many of our clients have become friends, sometimes more like family, over the years. This is my full-time job so my focus is providing a safe, loving, enriching environment for the pets in our care. While we are a family with school-aged children and the extracurricular that go along with that, the needs of our furry guests are always prioritized. We have a large, fully-fenced backyard for supervised play and we use baby gates in the house (and crates as needed) to provide a safe, secure stay. With our mini-farm, a lot of my day revolves around being outside so you can be assured that your pup is getting plenty of exercise and playtime under knowledgeable supervision.
Reviews
Christina always takes great care of our pups!
Our dog had a great time at Christina’s. He loved playing in her yard, she took great care of him, and the pictures she sent were fun to see. We will definitely board with her again.
My dogs had such a wonderful time at Christina’s place. Thank you so much for taking such great care of them.
Christina was great! Very responsive and so kind. We will definitely be repeat customers.

We have a fenced yard and use babygates and crates to provide safe separation indoors. Pups get ample supervised outdoor playtime in either group or individual settings based on temperament and needs. We require all adult dogs to be spayed and neutered. While we fully recognize that unaltered dogs may do well on their own or with other dogs they meet, in a group setting, the pheromones often disrupt the dynamic. Some exceptions may be made during quieter times of the year. We are also privately insured for boarding.

Information Christina N. would like to know about your pet
I always say "better too much information than not enough." I like to know what your pup loves, what scares them, those little tics that you only learn from getting to know them. I've worked with just about every behavior under the sun, so nothing phases me. Because of it being a family setting, dogs with outright aggression clearly are not a good fit.
A typical day
We mostly stick to supervised outdoor play (and a lot of it!). By virtue of our little farm, I spend most of my days outside so its the perfect environment for pups to sniff, explore, and play with our many rope/tug toys, dog-safe "sticks," Jolly Balls, chuck-its, and tennis balls. In warm weather, we have puppy pools and a splash pad to cool off. In the event we have some pups with endless energy and some who prefer to just sniff around unbothered, we just rotate playtime so the curmudgeons and sunbathers can enjoy their time without puppy mayhem. My husband works from home so the couch potatoes keep him company. Pups that would rather snooze than romp will have plenty of ear scratches as well. For dogs that require walks, we have trails in the woods behind our property, a park 20 yards up the road, and a short drive to the C&O canal tow path. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Our goal is to keep your pup as comfortable and close-to-home as possible while maintaining a safe environment. If your pup is able to be left uncrated, we use babygates to separate sleeping areas for pups and leave crating for emergency situations. If crate-trained, we have spare crates with blankets and enrichment toys such as snuffle and licky-mats, treat balls, kongs, etc. Time I'll spend with your dog This being my full-time job, I have the luxury of being able to offer around-the-clock care! We are a family with extra-curricular activities so pups will need to be able to be left for a couple hours here and there but we do highly prioritize being present for our guest pups.

I am delighted I was able to transition to providing quality pet care as my full-time job. My husband works remotely as well so we are able to someone home the majority of the day.
