I do my best to deviate as little as possible from pets’ usual routines. If you can leave me a short cheat sheet with their usual habits that’d be great! I’ll take a picture of that for safekeeping and put their meds schedule (if they have one) in my calendar. 🗓️ My goal is to keep them comfortable and contented at home while their parents are away . . . And to help them feel assured you’re coming back! 🐶 If I’m housesitting, I will send frequent updates on the first day to make sure we have the routine down. After that I’ll usually check in once or twice a day with pics to say hello, but I’m very responsive to direct messages and texts, so feel free to check in in between! 👍🏼 If I don’t respond immediately, I’m probably either driving or my hands are in cookie dough, but I’ll definitely get back to you shortly. 😅 I am typically away 1-2 times a day for up to ~4 hours at a time (that means ~16-24 hours a day at your home). I can provide potty breaks about every 4 hours. 🐾 Outside of that I will let your friend lead the way! I will pet or play with her if she asks me to, but I will also respect her space if she just wants to watch TV or nap. 😴 Let me know if she has a favorite toy, game, treat, or tickle spot and we’ll carve out time for it! 🎾

Does your pet have any special needs? A strict schedule? Does he take medicine? Is he friendly with people and other animals? Does he pull on walks? Have a neighborhood nemesis? Please leave me vet info (if you have a preferred provider) and the number for a local friend in case of emergencies.
A typical day

Hi there. 👋🏼 I have been fortunate enough to care for fur- and feathy-babies through Rover for some great clients over the last few years as well as for friends and family most of my life. ☺️ I grew up with 2 labrador retrievers and have kept cats, a rabbit, and gerbils. In college I also served at the SPCA, where I cared for dogs and cats, taught basic commands, and assisted prospective owners with adoption. 🦮 I now care for my husbird, Pidge, a pigeon I adopted from the Wild Bird Fund, where I volunteered as a caretaker and rehabilitation assistant for injured wildlife. 🦅 Pidge is an excellent traveler and usually accompanies me for overnights — please let me know if you have a bedroom or bathroom where he can stay behind closed doors. He’s non-destructive and wears a diaper. Yeah. A diaper. 🩲
