Highlights
Pet care experience
Petsitter based in Alexandria, VA
What sets me apart is the genuine love and care I bring to every pet I look after. My family welcomed Ralph, our Boston Terrier, into our lives ten years ago, and he’s been our spoiled little prince ever since! I aim to treat your pets with that same level of attention and affection.
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
My two roomates each have a dog and I take care of them often (whether it just be a walk or if my roommate leaves on a long trip). Both dogs have different personalities and routines. My roommates love when I take care of their dogs because I am a familiar face and they feel safe in our home.
Ratings and reviews
We used Christina several times on a trip and would book her again

This was the first time we used Christina to do drop ins for our dog Mookie. She did 3 drop ins a day and always sent pictures. I would definitely book her again.

Christina came to my rescue for my dog last minute and I couldn’t have been in better hands. She sends me updates throughout the day and am always reassured my pup is properly being looked after.

Christina was great. We booked at the last minute over the holiday season. She was reliable, and responsive, and professional. Would definitely book again.

Christina was absolutely wonderful! She took amazing care of my two dogs — one of whom is a senior with special needs who requires medication twice a day and help with stairs. She was patient, attentive, and clearly experienced with handling more challenging situations. I felt completely at ease knowing they were in her care. Both pups were happy and well taken care of when I got home. I’m so grateful for her help and definitely plan to book with her again in the future

Summary: During the course of the scheduled four-night housesitting booking, Christina only stayed at the house on the first evening, had a guest visit the house without notifying us or requesting permission, intentionally left our backdoor wide open for the dogs to come and go from outside when she did not spend the night, and left our dogs alone for over 10-hours at a time during the day. After seeing our house left wide open, we canceled the last night of the four-night booking. Everything started fine on the first day/evening through the afternoon of the second day. After leaving our house around 10:30 PM on the second night, Christina visited twice the next day for less than 1-hour during the 24-hour timeframe, then left again overnight with the back door wide open and was with them for less than 30 minutes on her last evening (i.e., midnight-7pm) before finally departing just before 7 PM. Additional details: My husband and I have a security system on the 360-perimeter of our house, including a doorbell camera. We receive alerts for the human and animal movement, as well as vehicles. Christina was informed of our security system during our meet-and-greet on June 27, 2025. As part of the care instructions relayed during our meet and greet, I requested she let Gus and Copper (our dogs) outside approximately every 4 hours during the day in our fully fenced backyard for a potty break, stay overnight at the house as part of the housesitting rate, and feed them twice a day around 7:30 am and 5:30 pm. The feeding instructions and times are also notated in our communications in the application. Everything started fine on Thursday with Christina’s arrival at 4:21 pm. Christina was very communicative and agreed to arrive a little earlier than planned to ensure the dogs were fed dinner on time. Christina’s stay for the remainder of Thursday to Friday was normal with no cause for concern. In fact, we were under the assumption that everything was proceeding as planned throughout Friday and Saturday until late Saturday evening. Over the course of Saturday night, we noticed a lot of activity for a sustained period of hours on the backyard security camera. Upon checking the backyard and doorbell security cameras, my husband noted the back door was left open and Christina’s car was not parked in front of our house as it had been. Going back in the footage, it appeared that Christina had left the house at 7:45 pm and intentionally left the back door open. After messaging Christina in the morning about her status and the back door, she quickly returned at 9:58 AM for 10 minutes and apologized for “accidentally” leaving the back door open, even admitting that something had come up and she did not stay overnight as planned. At this point, the dogs were left overnight for over 14 hours, were not fed breakfast at their normal time, and were let out for only 10 minutes. Given the incident from Saturday night to Sunday, my husband and I checked the doorbell footage for the full stay. As noted, everything was normal from Thursday through Friday evening. However, on Friday night Christina stopped by the house from 10:13 pm to 10:23 pm with a guest, whom she did not tell us about. This probably would not have been an issue if we were told in advance, but we previously requested during the initial meet and greet to know of any visitors. Additionally, Christina never returned on Friday to spend the night. The dogs we left home alone for nearly 11 hours until Saturday morning when she returned at 9:03 AM, missing the normal breakfast time at 7:30 AM. Over the course of Saturday, Christina then only visited one more time at 7:26 PM and stayed for 19 minutes. Christina was at the house for a total of 48 minutes for the 24-hour period on Saturday. As this was the second time my husband and I had encountered a poor Rover, we immediately took action and requested that Christina depart on Sunday, October 12th. Even after requesting that Christina check-out for the evening on Sunday, she didn’t return to the house for approximately 8 hours later at 6:29 PM when the dogs should have been fed around 5:30 PM. In total, Christina was at the house for 24 minutes on Sunday for the period from midnight to her departure at 6:43 PM. We will also note that we first used Christina back in July (July 18-20) and had a good experience; however, we did not go back to check the security footage to confirm, as we never noticed any anomalies. We also attempted to book Christina again for a September stay based on our prior experience, but she needed to cancel.
