Pet care experience

Dependable Vet Tech with Insurance

🐶🐱Hello! I'm Christina and I'm excited to welcome new clients for pet sitting and dog walking services. With a deep passion for animals that started in my childhood, I’ve built a career centered around their care. I began volunteering with animal shelters and rescue groups, which inspired me to become a veterinary technician. Since 2009, I have also been providing pet sitting services, gaining extensive experience with pets of all kinds. I have worked with cats and dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities, including those with special health needs. I am proficient in administering oral and injectable medications, monitoring blood glucose levels, performing subcutaneous fluid administration, assisting those with mobility issues, and providing additional care for sick or aging pets. In addition to traditional pets, I am experienced with small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, and hedgehogs, as well as reptiles and aquatic animals. I’ve even had the opportunity to care for more unique pets, including tarantulas and scorpions! For your peace of mind, I am insured and a copy of my insurance policy will be provided prior to service. I look forward to providing your pets with the loving, reliable care they deserve. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or to schedule a meet and greet!🐱🐶

We feel so lucky to have found Christina! She gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. It was very comforting to know she took the time to make sure our babies were comfortable with someone new being in their space. She absolutely knows what she is doing. I couldn't imagine ever hiring someone else to look after our babies!!!

A complimentary meet-and-greet is recommended for all first-time bookings. During this meeting, I’ll take the time to gather detailed information about your pet’s unique needs and your care preferences. Please have a copy of your pet’s vaccination record to the meeting. Before services begin, a pet sitting contract and client/pet information form must be completed. Please provide an email address for this to be sent to. I can not confirm bookings until this is completed.

A typical day

DROP-IN VISITS Depending on your pet's needs, he/she may need 1, 2 or 3 visits per day. Each visit includes food and water refresh, potty break and/or litterbox refresh, accident cleanup, engaging playtime or quick walk, treats and administration of medications if needed. If requested, visits can also include water plants, collect mail/newspapers, trash takeout, alternate lights, alternate blinds/curtains, and light cleaning in the pet’s main room. A photo or text update will be sent after each visit. DOG WALKING 30 minute standard walks: Ideal for dogs who require regular exercise and outdoor time. Each visit lasts for 30 minutes, ensuring your pet gets their much-needed stretch and sniff around the neighborhood. 30 minute senior dog strolls: Gentle and shorter walks designed for older dogs that prefer a slower pace and plenty of sniffing stops. Depending on your pet’s needs, 10 to 20 minutes is spent walking. The remaining time is spent with enrichment (puzzles, cuddles, etc). 60 minute extended walks: For dogs with extra energy to burn, this extended walk lasting up to an hour, ensures they return home tired and happy. Two dogs maximum per walk. Each walk will be done only in your neighborhood for safety reasons. Prior to departure, your pet’s water bowl will be refreshed if needed. Feeding and medicating available upon request and will be subtracted from walk time. During inclement weather or extreme heat, walks will be either shortened or exchanged with a quick outdoor potty break. Enrichment (puzzles, cuddles, etc) will be provided as a substitute for the remainder of the visit. A photo or text update will be sent after each walk. Prior to scheduling your pet, I'd like to know your pet's temperament, health conditions, medications, dietary restrictions, triggers/fears/anxieties/destructive habits, & personality quirks. Has your pet ever shown any signs of aggression? How does your pet behave on a leash for walks? Reactions to humans/pets/vehicles/noises/objects during walks? Does your pet eat things he/she shouldn't (rocks, furniture, walls, towels toys ect)? Is your pet crate trained (i.e. enters without a struggle, doesn't bark/whine, rests comfortably, doesn't try to escape)? Will your pet attempt to jump a fence?
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
