I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to easily incorporate pet care into my daily routine. I’m available for walks before work, during lunch breaks, and in the evenings, and I’m able to provide consistent attention and companionship throughout the day. If I’m boarding a dog, they won’t be left alone for long periods of time and will get plenty of love, supervision, playtime, and potty breaks throughout the day. I genuinely enjoy having dogs around, so making them feel comfortable, cared for, and part of the routine comes naturally to me.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a cozy, dog-friendly apartment and a very friendly, playful Labrador Retriever mix who enjoys the company of other dogs. I prioritize creating a calm, safe, and comfortable environment where dogs can settle in and feel at home. There’s a small dog park in my building that’s great for quick potty breaks and late-night outings when needed. On a typical day, my dog and I go on an hour-long walk during my lunch break, followed by a longer outing to the park after work. When caring for other dogs, I adjust routines based on their needs to make sure they’re getting the right amount of activity, attention, and relaxation. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I aim to keep their routine as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable and secure while their owner is away. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, exercise needs, medications if needed, and any specific instructions, and I always make sure to communicate with the owner as often as they want.

Information Christina C. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know about your pet’s typical routine, energy level, and how much attention they usually need so I can make sure they're happy. It’s also helpful to know how they behave around new people, other dogs, and on walks. Feel free to let me know about any training cues, fears, medical needs, dietary restrictions, favorite activities, or behaviors I should be aware of ahead of time. The more I know about your pet’s personality and routine, the better I can create a safe, positive, and stress-free experience for them while you’re away.
A typical day
I love keeping dogs both physically active and mentally stimulated. Depending on their energy level and personality, I enjoy taking them on walks around the neighborhood to let them stop and sniff as much as they want. I also like incorporating mental enrichment into their day through food puzzles, sniffing games, and basic training reinforcement.

Pet care experience
I grew up with two dogs—a Chow Chow and a German Shepherd/Collie mix—and caring for them helped shape my lifelong love of dogs. As a kid, I also helped my mom with her dog walking business, which gave me early hands-on experience working with dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. In my 20s, I regularly cared for friends’ and roommates’ dogs while they were traveling, and over the past 10 years I’ve continued dog sitting as a trusted side business. Through that experience, I’ve become comfortable caring for a wide range of personalities and routines, and I always aim to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. About a year ago, I adopted my dog from the Oakland SPCA, and through their training classes I’ve learned a great deal about dog behavior, communication, and care. I believe strongly in positive reinforcement and science-backed training methods that help dogs feel confident, safe, and understood. When caring for a dog, my priority is building trust and creating a calm, secure environment where they can feel comfortable. I understand that every dog has a different personality, energy level, and comfort zone, so I try to meet them where they are with patience, consistency, and kindness. Whether your dog is playful and energetic or more shy and cautious, I’ll make sure they feel cared for and respected.
