Information Christie & Michael K. would like to know about your pet
The health and safety of all animals in our care is a top priority. For that reason, we require all visiting dogs to be current on their Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccinations, and we will request copies of vaccination records for verification prior to booking their stay. We also strongly recommend that visiting pets be vaccinated against Leptospirosis, and Canine Influenza, and be up to date on flea and tick prevention. Because our home is an active family farm, all visiting dogs must be comfortable around children, cats, and other dogs. Please let us know if your pet has a history of fence climbing, digging, escaping enclosures, or displaying aggression toward livestock or other farm animals. This information helps us provide the safest and most enjoyable experience possible for everyone. Life on the farm is full of adventure, exploration, and fun. Don't be surprised if your furry family member comes home a little dusty, pleasantly tired, and completely content after enjoying all that Hobbit Hollow Acres has to offer! ***Flexible Drop-Off and Pick-Up Times*** We understand that visiting Yosemite National Park often means early mornings and long days, especially during peak travel seasons when park entrance lines can become quite lengthy. To help our guests make the most of their time in the park, we offer flexible drop-off and pick-up options. Early drop-offs before 8:00 a.m. and late pick-ups after 8:00 p.m. are available for an additional $20 convenience fee. We are happy to accommodate these requests whenever possible with advance notice, helping you get an early start on your Yosemite adventure or enjoy a full day in the park before heading home. Our goal is to make your travel plans as convenient and stress-free as possible while ensuring your pet receives exceptional care throughout their stay.
A typical day
Life is never dull at Hobbit Hollow Acres! We are a busy, active household where pets become part of the family and enjoy plenty of attention throughout the day. Our daily routine begins around 8:00 a.m. with morning potty breaks and breakfast. Throughout the day, dogs have access to our home, a secure fenced run, and our fenced backyard with a pool, providing plenty of opportunities for exercise, play, and relaxation. In the rare event that everyone needs to leave the property, all dogs are safely secured in their individual kennels to ensure their comfort and safety. Dinner is served around 5:00 p.m., followed by evening playtime and family activities. The last potty break of the night takes place between 9:00 and 9:30 p.m. At bedtime, all dogs sleep comfortably in crates located within our home, ensuring they are safe, secure, and close to the family throughout the night. Pet care experience
Our family has extensive experience caring for animals and providing them with the attention, comfort, and love they deserve. Both my husband and I grew up with cats and dogs, giving us a lifelong appreciation for pet care and companionship. Today, we operate a small hobby farm with a variety of animals, but dogs are truly our specialty and passion. Over the past six years, we have responsibly bred several dog breeds and developed extensive knowledge in canine care. We are experienced in caring for unspayed females, pregnant mothers, newborn puppies, and growing litters, ensuring each dog receives attentive, knowledgeable care at every stage of life. Whether caring for family pets, breeding dogs, or raising puppies, we are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and loving environment for every animal in our care.
Reviews

Guiness had another great week with his new friends. He always come back feeling tired from all of the fun he's had. I would recommend this couple completely.

My dogs had another great visit!

Christy and Michael were great with Cody, and I would happily book with them again. I appreciated that their first message was asking about Cody’s vaccination records, which immediately showed they care about the safety of the pets they watch. Communication was excellent from the start, and the detailed arrival instructions they sent before drop-off made finding their property easy. Their home sits on a beautiful piece of land with farm animals and plenty of space. The last part of the drive is a dirt road and a little bumpy, but completely manageable and worth it. Christy was friendly and welcoming when we arrived, and Cody seemed comfortable and well cared for. Pickup was smooth, and he was relaxed in their home with the other dogs and kittens. Overall, a very positive experience and I would trust them with Cody again.

Michael was kind and understanding of my dog. Knew that she was protecting me when we first arrived. He sent me photos showing that she had settled in later which was reassuring. Always responded to email/texts. Dog was happy.
