Pet care experience

Your Pet’s New Best Friend!

Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I helped raise litters, bottle-feed puppies, and care for our pack of four. Those early experiences taught me how to read dog body language, manage routines, and safely handle multiple dogs with calm confidence. I’ve continued pet sitting, boarding, and walking over the years and bring a grounded, patient approach to every dog I care for. I work hard to create an environment where dogs feel safe, understood, and relaxed. I truly treat every dog like part of our family. I’m married, have a 12-year-old daughter, and a baby boy. I currently work in nonprofit leadership, but spending time with dogs—getting outdoors, keeping routines, and building trust—brings me balance and joy. I’m also continuing to expand my dog behavior and training knowledge as I build my long-term path in professional dog care. Boarding I offer in-home dog boarding in a calm, family-centered environment and host up to two dogs at a time so each pup gets plenty of attention and structure. Because the setting is shared, dogs should be well-socialized and comfortable around other dogs. I may coordinate a meet-and-greet ahead of time to ensure a smooth, stress-free stay. If your dog needs solo boarding, I’m happy to discuss options on a case-by-case basis for an additional cost. Dog Walking I offer 30- and 60-minute walks tailored to your dog’s age, energy level, and routine. Whether your dog prefers a brisk outing or a slow sniff-walk, I adjust accordingly. I can reinforce basic training cues, and you’ll receive photos and a summary after each visit. Drop-In Visits Drop-ins include potty breaks, meals, medication (if needed), and plenty of quality time—play, cuddles, or calm companionship. Please ensure each pet is listed on your Rover profile so I can provide accurate and consistent care. For your pet’s well-being, be sure to book enough visits to match their routine and comfort needs. No matter the service I guarantee your pup will get loadssss of love and cuddles. I mean why else would I be doing Rover??

Christiana was phenomenal! She was very attentive to detail with both of my pets. She troubleshooted household issues in a timely manner. She kept me well apprised of their status and lots of photos.

Doggy Day Care • Jan 12, 2026

Christiana probably does great with dogs who have less energy and are a lot calmer. But if your dog has a lot of energy then she is probably not the best person to watch your dog. My dog is a German shepherd who can get very anxious and has a lot of energy. My sister dropped him off and 2 hours later was called to come pick him up. Also we were told that he was trying to bite her ankles and for Apollo to do that then someone must’ve made him angry because he doesn’t just out of the blue try to bite people. He’s come in contact with a lot of people and he’s never bitten anyone. He ended up going with another sitter the next day and we had no problems with him trying to bite that sitter. That sitter actually tried to make Apollo feel comfortable and safe. Like I said she probably does well with low energy dogs but if your dog has high energy and gets very anxious then I don’t recommend her.

Christiana was incredible! She gave the best updates, would go the extra mile for your pup in a heartbeat, and completely put my mind at ease while traveling. My senior dog has lots of health concerns but Christiana followed all the instructions and took great care of my boy.

We can’t thank Christiana and her family for watching our sweet girl! Juni was a little nervous at first since it was her first “sleepover” but they quickly got her to feel comfortable in their home. We appreciated the updates and pictures during her stay. We will definitely book with Christiana again!

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s safety and emotional comfort are my highest priorities. Here’s what you can always expect when your pet stays with me: Supervised interactions only — especially with kids or when new dogs arrive. Slow, gentle introductions so your dog builds trust at their own pace. No off-leash exposure unless in a fully fenced, secure area. Detailed updates with photos or videos. Structured feeding times exactly the way you request. A calm and predictable environment (dogs relax faster this way!). We have a gated kitchen which separates your pup from our front door. We also have apple tags that will be put on every dogs collar or harness once they arrive. We double check our perimeter after every pup and keep on eye on them while they are outside for potty and play breaks. Immediate communication about anything unusual, like changes in appetite, bowel movements or behavior. My experience raising puppies, seniors, and multi-dog groups means I’m comfortable reading subtle cues and adjusting care quickly. Your dog will always be treated with patience, affection, and respect.

A typical day

I’m blessed to live in a wonderful neighborhood where there are lots of sidewalks to walk on, nearby parks to sniff around and many friendly smiles and waves. I love to cuddle so if your puppers is a snuggler I am all in! I am high spirited and love playing tug of war, pass and any other game your beloved might enjoy.

Please let me know if your pet has any special needs like medication management, eating schedule, typical bathroom schedule and how they do with other dogs while out walking. Do they have any resource guarding? Where do they typically sleep at night? I require all dogs are up to date on vaccinations and will request pictures of the latest vaccination records. Dogs must also be flea treated. I want to know as much as I can in order to help ease them into a comfortable setting where by the end they may not even want to leave. 😉
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
