Hello! My name is Christian Smith, and I am a passionate and experienced pet sitter. I have always been an animal guy, and I grew up with dogs and cats in my household. Over the years, I have developed a strong understanding of dog/cat behavior and body language, and I know how to handle different breeds and personalities. As a pet sitter, I prioritize the safety, comfort, and happiness of the dogs in my care. I understand that leaving your furry friend with someone else can be stressful, so I strive to provide peace of mind to pet owners by keeping them updated with regular check-ins and photos. My services include dog walking, feeding, administering medication (if needed), and of course, giving lots of love and attention. I am also comfortable handling any special needs or requests your dog may have. My roommate works via home, so your dog won’t be alone when I’m gone. I have volunteered at animal shelters and worked as a dog walker, which has given me a wide range of experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I am reliable, responsible, and trustworthy, and I take pride in providing top-notch care to every dog I sit for. Overall, I appreciate the help during our trip, but there were a few issues that made the experience less smooth than expected. Some care instructions were missed or needed to be repeated multiple times. The feeding amount was not always correct, and the food bowls were not cleaned until I specifically followed up about it. Food crumbs on the floor were also left behind, which unfortunately led to ants in the house when we returned home. I had also requested shoes be removed inside the home, and I would have appreciated a bit more attention to boundaries overall. I think there is room for improvement in attention to detail and following care instructions more consistently.
My dog was instantly friends with Christian when he came over for the meet and greet, my dog isn’t always that friendly with new people so that was a good sign. Overall was great and sent pictures of my dog for each drop in visit. Have him booked again for my next trip and recommend!
Christian did such an awesome job watching our dog Hazel. She is somewhat uneasy around strangers- but they became best friends while we were on vacation! Christian sent pictures of all their adventures, it was as if Hazel was having a vacation too! I would not hesitate to recommend Christian.
Christian was communicative and took amazing care of our two Saint Bernards. We really appreciate his flexibility when our plans had to change with little notice, and keeping us updated on their day to day. He took them on walks, gave daily meds, and kept up with their care throughout the day. Will happily recommend him to friends.
Christian was a great sitter and would recommend! This was my first time using rover for boarding and he was patient with my high energy dog and communicative over text, as well as accommodating!
Christian is fantastic! Great communication, he will be our go to pet sitter for the future!!

Schedule
I work as an engineering teacher during the day in the Lake Washington district. After 2:35, I am all yours to walk or care for your pet. I have my neighbors that check on the dogs or cats I watch if I am out working or doing errands.

A typical day
Photo montage so the owner doesn't feel like their dog is gone. Besides that, lots of walks, tossing a ball, and time for attention so they don't feel alone.
