Pet care experience
We treat dogs like family!
Please only serious inquiries! My wife and I have had dogs our whole lives (our kids, too!), and to us, they are part of our family. We live in a 2 story house with plenty of room, and a large yard for exercise, potty breaks, and fun! We walk our dog (Nash, a 7.5 year old Golden Retriever) often, and love frequently taking he and our kids (ages 11 & 16) to nearby trails and playgrounds. I am a restaurant General Manager, and my wife is a Teacher, so there are very few times throughout the week where someone isn’t home, and in the rare event no one is home, it’s only for a couple hours. Our kids have grown up with dogs, and have always spoiled them with attention and love. We’ve experienced all that dog ownership has to offer a family, from introducing our babies to our older dog, losing her, our sweet Irish Setter (Maggie), after 12 amazing years, training a brand new puppy as our children learned more about responsibility and having a furry friend, and watching our pup and kids get closer and closer as they grow. Our house is the place for your dog because they will feel loved and cared for the entire time they’re with us!

Schedule
My wife is a teacher (M-F basically from 7am-5pm), and I’m a restaurant operator with a varying schedule), which means during the week there are very few times when no one is home, and someone is always home on the weekends. This equates to our dog (and/or yours), having someone there with them a majority of the time. Our 16 year old also has joined in with helping out now that she also comes and goes!

Our yard is not fenced in. Nash, our Golden Retriever, is able to be let out on his own now, but we also have a stake with a long run that we used for the first few years of his life, so there’s no worry about your dog running off.
Pets
A typical day
We take most daily walks around our family oriented neighborhood (with little to no traffic!), we play catch and fetch (both inside and outside), and we love to go on hikes on nearby trails/parks.

- We need to know their potty training status, how often they need to go out, do they chew things up around the house, are they hyper, etc., also their likes/dislikes (favorite scratching spots, don’t like to be touched on their face, etc.), how they are with children, any anxieties, and any quirks in their personalities. We also need to know how and where they sleep at night!
