Safety, trust & environment

Caring for your pet means prioritizing their safety, building trust, and providing an enriching environment, whether in my home or yours. Safety: In my home, your dog benefits from constant supervision as I work remotely, ensuring they're never unsupervised for long periods. My secure, well-maintained fenced yard offers a safe and expansive space for play and potty breaks. My own dog is very easy going and friendly with most dogs, providing a safe and joyful playmate. My goal is to create a stress-free and positive experience for every dog in my care.

Health & Physical Needs Medical History: Are there any chronic conditions, recent surgeries, or joint issues? Medication Instructions: Precise dosages, timing, and the "best" way to administer them (e.g., wrapped in cheese or hidden in a pill pocket). Allergies & Dietary Restrictions: This includes food, specific proteins, and even environmental allergies (like grass or certain cleaners). Vaccination Status: Ensuring they are up to date on Rabies, Distemper, and especially Bordetella (kennel cough) since they will be around your dogs. Behavioral Profile & "Triggers" Socialization Style: How do they react to other dogs? Are they "selective" or "alpha"? How do they react to cats or small animals? Fear Triggers: Common ones include thunder, fireworks, vacuum cleaners, or even men with hats or deep voices. Resource Guarding: Do they get protective over food, high-value treats, or specific toys? Separation Anxiety: How do they behave when left alone? Do they bark, chew furniture, or attempt to escape? Routine & Communication Feeding Schedule: Exact times and portions. Do they need a "slow feeder" bowl? Established Commands: Since you have a training background, knowing their "language" is key. Do they use "Off" or "Down"? "Stay" or "Wait"? Walking Etiquette: Do they pull on the lead? Are they reactive to squirrels or bikes? Emergency Logistics Vet Information: Name and contact for their regular vet. Emergency Contact: Someone local who can make decisions if the owners are unreachable (especially if traveling internationally).

Pet care experience

My approach to dog care is rooted in decades of experience. My own dogs are proof of my methods, and I apply that same level of care and attention to every visitor, ensuring they feel safe, happy, and right at home. I work from home and my dogs are constant companions throughout the day.

Christian and his wife watched Posie for 4 days and they did an amazing job! It was a last minute booking and Christian was very responsive. From photos, I could tell Posie felt very comfortable in their home and was having a blast with their own dog. Thank you Christian for taking great care of my Posie. Would definitely rebook.

Christian genuinely loves dogs. Our dog was comfortable in his home. His dog Marley became good buddy. He did a good job of taking the dogs on daily adventure for exercise. We will be happy to use him again.
