Before any booking, I love learning the little details that make your pet them. Knowing their personality, routines, quirks, comfort items, favorite toys, fears, triggers, energy level, and habits helps me provide care that feels familiar and stress free, especially for longer stays and repeat clients. I also like to know about feeding schedules, medications, walking preferences, socialization with other animals and people, and any behaviors you’d like me to reinforce or avoid. The more I understand your pet, the better I can make them feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while you’re away.
A typical day
I love making sure pets stay mentally and physically engaged in ways that match their personality, age, and energy level. Activities can include walks, enrichment games, supervised outdoor time, play sessions with toys, basic reinforcement training, cuddle and relaxation time, or interactive activities that help keep them stimulated and comfortable while you’re away. I also have experience with senior pets and understand the importance of balancing activity with patience, routine, and gentle care.

Christen took great care of my dogs while I was on vacation. One is old and one is young, and they both seemed to want to keep hanging out with her even after I returned! I definitely felt a bit rejected, but I think that’s a sign of a great sitter!
Christen is absolutely the best cat sitter I’ve ever had! I have a senior baby, and he’s at the age now where special instructions are needed for feeding and care. Christen is always very understanding and patient about it, and completes every task with care. She sends photos of my cat every time she checks in when I’m away from home, so sweet haha!
