Sound Therapy for your Loves

I have cared for dogs since I was a young one, and got the beautiful opportunity to practice sound therapy with our family dog who experienced extreme anxiety. So if you're a no to me serenading your sweet animal friend with relaxing guitar then we are probably not a good fit. :P Jk, would love to connect and support any furry friends! I am flexible with time and have plenty opportunity to flow with your animal friend. I would love to take them out for hikes, dog parks and/or walks around the neighborhood every day. I have a separate room if they need their own space. There is lots of lighting and a nice park in walking distance. I love your animal friends as if they are my own.

House Sitting • Jun 27, 2022

We hired Chris for housesitting for our dog, Saturday, June 25th around 2pm to Monday June 27th around 5pm. We did a meet n greet on Friday which went well enough, and Chris seemed to be great on Saturday. However, he left at 8am on Sunday morning and none of our multiple outdoor cameras show him returning until 11:56pm Sunday night. That leaves our fur baby home alone with no breaks in a hot house for 16 hours. We told him her limit is 6ish hours, 8 at the absolute maximum and only if there’s no other option. We also stressed repeatedly in person and in writing that it’s essential she gets her meds at the correct time or it can be very dangerous for her (she needs them at 7am and 6:30-7pm). Chris claims he went back to let her out and give her meds at 2pm. Whether or not he did this, there is still the issue that she then went alone another 10 hours in a hot house. Hours beyond her max. AND she would’ve been given her meds 5 hours early, which is very dangerous for her. Around 8pm, we saw that he had not been back since 8am. At this time, we texted him and they did not deliver, so we tried calling him. The calls went straight to voicemail. We attempted to call him several times over the next few hours, and each time they went straight to voicemail. We called a family member to go take care of our pup and give her her meds (since at this point we have no evidence that Chris had ever returned). So, if he did actually go at 2pm, then she not only got her meds 5 hours too early, but she then got a doubled up dose at 9pm when our family member went to take care of her. This is INCREDIBLY dangerous for her! After he returned to our house around midnight, he then responded to our texts saying that he had turned his phone off and this is when he claimed he went back at 2pm to give her meds. We paid for housesitting, NOT periodic check ins. If we had wanted that, we have plenty of family and friends we could have asked. Chris made a commitment to us and our pup. If he was too busy socially or whatever, he should not have made that commitment. A person that actually cares about animals would not treat one this way. I would give no stars based on our experience, however, our dog seemed to like him OK, so I’m okay with leaving one star for that alone.

Chris is great with Allegro. He is always so excited when Chris comes and he loves the runs he gets to take in our neighborhood.

Chris would make an excellent dog sitter! He is kind, responsible, and loves spending time being and caring for dogs. He is very aware and attentive to their needs Chris has spent his whole life around dogs and genuinely enjoys their company. I think Chris would be a wonderful addition to the Rover community.
